Hiking to the Arkansas Sphinx - Route 1 (short route)

- Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, lies a natural wonder known locally as the Arkansas Sphinx. There are two parking areas and two routes that can be taken to reach this Ozark spectacle. In this video, we show you the route from parking area #1, which is the shorter and more direct route. Either way, the view from the Sphinx is magnificent, and catching it during peak Fall color is best. Ive only taken the steep way but it's well worth it!
It certainly is! I'll probably do the other route sometime just to get the view from the lookout higher on the mountain, and to add to my blog for anyone that wants to know about it. But if not for that, I'd just stick to this route.

Great video! I will have to look for that 2nd option, I've only taken the direct route to the Arkansas Sphinx. Especially if it isn't as steep.
@HikeAroundandFindOut Thank you! I haven't done the 2nd option either, so don't know for sure how steep. I think it has some steep parts, but not the whole way. I'm definitely going back one day to do it because I want to hit that vista up the hill from Sphinx. Thanks for the comment!
