  • Certainly! Here are some important safety instructions for driving:
    1. Buckle Up: Always wear your seatbelt and ensure that all passengers do the same.
    2. Stay Alert: Avoid distractions like texting, and stay focused on the road.
    3. Obey Speed Limits: Adhere to posted speed limits and adjust your speed for road conditions.
    4. Maintain a Safe Following Distance: Keep a safe distance behind the vehicle in front of you to allow for sudden stops.
    5. Use Turn Signals: Signal your intentions when changing lanes or making turns.
    6. Observe Traffic Signs and Signals: Follow traffic signals and obey road signs.
    7. Don't Drink and Drive: Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
    8. Check Your Blind Spots: Use your mirrors and turn your head to check blind spots when changing lanes.
    9. Stay within Your Lane: Maintain your lane discipline and avoid weaving in and out of traffic.
    10. Be Mindful of Weather Conditions: Adjust your driving to suit the weather, whether it's rain, snow, or fog.
    11. Give Way to Pedestrians: Yield the right of way to pedestrians at crosswalks and intersections.
    12. Use Your Horn Sparingly: Honk your horn only to alert other drivers of your presence, not as a form of frustration.
    13. Avoid Aggressive Driving: Stay calm and patient, and avoid road rage.
    14. Regular Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure your vehicle is well-maintained with working brakes, lights, and tires.
    15. Stay Informed About Road Conditions: Be aware of road closures, accidents, or construction on your route.
    16. Use Hands-Free Devices: If you need to use your phone, use a hands-free device to minimize distractions.
    17. Be Courteous: Show respect and courtesy to other drivers on the road.
    18. Plan Your Route: Know your route in advance and have a backup plan in case of unexpected detours.
Remember, safe driving not only protects you but also the people around you. Always prioritize safety on the road.

This is why you always see truck driving companies hiring.

There needs to be higher standards to get a CDL. These re supposed to be professionals. It's amazing how many drivers would get into an accident rather than braking and letting someone change lanes into front of them.

You're right, and I agree 100% with you, and as a CDL OTR driver myself I believe there needs to be higher standards for anyone to drive.

Seriously Karen?!? Do you have any idea how difficult it is to drive a semi, on its side, through a field, in the middle of the night? Truth is, you can't legislate out stupidity..

@@flynfishit ^^THIS. The view of the dash cam is considerably lower than the driver's sight.

When I was in the military, I drove truck I don’t drive a truck out in the civilian world for a reason. Fucking idiots that try and pull in front of a semi that’s fully loaded and takes order of a mile to completely stop, is an idiot! And when did you become royalty that you had to have the right to get in front of any semi that you wanted to just because you wanted to be there. Maybe there should be stronger Standards for getting your CDL, but because of people like you, there should be stronger standards for people to get their damn license at all!😅

It looks like there needs to be a higher standard for you to get your damn license because most of these wrecks on this video we’re of cars stopping in the middle of the street, trying to cross in front of a semi not even speeding up to get in front of him, slamming on the brakes when I get in front of him, cutting across three lanes of traffic! Much less scenes of truckers, wanting to get into an accident, and more videos of truckers, trying to avoid accidents by ditching their ride in a field or over an embankment trying not to hit somebody! There’s only one or two maybe three that the trucker wasn’t paying attention!

Some of the drivers are just going way too fast & not paying attention at all to traffic ahead of them.

A lot of these are a direct result of the truck diver a dreaming and not paying attention to traffic and road conditions.

In the UK trucks are restricted to 56 mph for good reason.

To be fair, your drivers aren't going to drive 4500 km during one trip.

Accidents like those in Series 26 are indeed alarming. How can we promote safer driving to prevent such tragedies?

    • @joeysplats3209
      @joeysplats3209 Před měsícem

Don't hire drunkards. Incentivize drivers for physical well-being. You cannot force a driver to pay attention or know road conditions, but you can encourage him to be rested, know the route, and use every opportunity to re-secure every load at every stop during the ride. Fact is that some companies are less focused on safety and more focused on pushing a load through while hoping statistics are on their side. I bet a majority of these truck wrecks involve a bureaucrat that spends a lot of time cutting safety corners.

I like that there's no long narration to boringly repeat what I already saw. That's insulting and makes me go away. I think some gentle background music would be great. Not loud. Maybe even time some of the crashes with beats in the music.
