Man I can watch these videos forever. Hoping to save some money to get planet zoo soon, until then keep up the good work. Thank you for keeping us entertained!
I know I'm a few days late but pat yourself on the back matty. That reptile house is some of your best work yet. It came out so good. It looks like the building pieces and mechanics in planet zoo far surpass planet coaster. Looking forward to the next episode
Don't you ever doubt/question your building of buildings skills again. That Reptile house looks incredibly awesome!🔥 That Caiman habitat took some work, but also ended up being fire! Damn, 6 babies at once...probably means you need to extend again! Or sell a bunch asap🤣 The time lapses are one of my favorite parts of your vids, seeing the magic happen. Great video! Can't wait for the next one✌🏾🦖
My god!!! It looks amazing. I wish i could build buildings like you do. I like the wellfare check you do every episode because of your enthousiasm for all the babies haha and i cant stop viewing all the nice builds you made. Keep up the amazing work!!
Wow so amazing! Nice work. Just a bit of trivia, the Gila monster is pronounced with an 'h' sound instead of a 'g' sound. So it would look like 'heela'.
I have to say I was never particularly interested in Planet Zoo on PC, always just played Planco. But you're doing such an amazing job with this series that I had to get Planet Zoo on the Steam sale yesterday 😁
aww thanks so much levon, dont aspire to be like me though, aspire to be better than me - there are so many other amazing creators out there on console way more talented than i am, aspire to be like them!
Hey Matty! Loving the videos, I have used multiple of your workshop creations in my own zoo’s. I am fairly certain Gila Monster is pronounced like He-Luh Monster. Basically replacing the G with an H.
When it comes to the spectacled caimans, their issue with the plants isn't the amount of them that's in their enclosure, it's more so that a lot of the plants in their enclosure don't suit them.
You know, while the game doesn't appeal to me to play it, although the pieces & the weather in this game are really tempting, & the baby animals too.... but I find myself really enjoying this series! Truly! The enthusiasm you are having in it as you create & manage your zoo is very infectious! ☮& ♥~ Smiling 🙂
Great video as always. Yesterday I was thinking, what? No iron Matty video? What’s happening? lol. Worth the wait, the reptile house is amazing, the caimen enclosure looks brilliant. Looking forward to seeing the complete finish. Thanks for the video. 👍
I’m to early and another amazing build bosss ❤️, lovely commentary. Also for the well-fair check I understand What you can do is make longer video without any major edits and make time stands so people can skip if they don’t want to watch that part ! Just let them know in beginning of video you make a time stands :)
thats great advice, for my planco spotlights i always added time stamps but havnt been doing for these planet zoo videos, but its certainly something i can think of doing, cheers roopy
The spectacled caiman isn't the smallest crocodilian in Planet Zoo. That would be the Cuvier's dwarf caiman which is the smallest crocodilian in the world and it's part of the Aquatics pack which will be added to the console edition in Late May.
New to your channel and I'm loving this series. I am new to Planet Zoo having just bought the console version and watching you has really helped me improve. If you build a big building like a reptile house in the future, I'd love to see a tutorial!
For some animals when they mature they will become outsiders and that means that the rest of the pack wont tolerate them and have fights, you can see in the zoopedia its says if they will become outsiders, its like if just say the alpha lion in a pack might fight with one its children when it grows for dominance reasons
oooohhhh thats actually great advice and annoyingly this is something id be telling other people to do lol, i sometimes roll my eyes when people ask questions that can be very easily answered by just looking yourself or playing the tutorial etc - and then i go and do the same thing
@@IronMatty Yeah I couldn't really get into planet co, and i probably would have if I had spent time to read the in-game help - I really wanted planet zoo to come to console for a long time without really watching much pc content - so I spent a good amount of time reading each section in the help menu and I've learned alot about the mechanics, something we don't really get anymore in games
You did good in adding the food court in the reptile house, but would it be necessary to add in grey seals to make it like a little aquarium for guests to view the seals?
Another great episode of rock simulator 😉 nah once again your building work is brilliant, will continue watching unlike one comment I’ve seen but would maybe like a video in the future of how you built the reptile house, tbh I’m going to download and take apart to try and work it out myself also but there’s a lot of the building elements very new to me…. Like all of them 😂 do you recommend any other creators who dive into the “building” aspect more as tutorials?? Keep up the good work and keep rocking!
it was something i hadnt really considered, i thought people would be bored seeing me building a building only, i now realise i was wrong so have covered how i approached the build at the start of the next episode
i dont think i would be the best person at trying to teach others on that, i just kinda wing it and hope for the best with staff, i dont really have a proper plan
I’ve been trying out planet zoo and I like it so far but where are the albinos and all the other leusistic animals I can only find leusistic lions and peacocks?
How do you keep the pages you're tracking as you modify stuff(such as the animal's welfare page as you paint the terrain) open as you're changing stuff? When I paint the terrain, it closes that tab and I have to keep clicking on the animal to see what changed, then go ALL the way back to the terrain paint tool, paint a little more, click the animal again and so on and so forth. Its a pain in the ass...
With this being a Sandbox zoo, you can turn off the negative effect that things like staff facilities have on guests. IMO, it's sooo ridiculous. Anytime I've gone to a zoo i didn't think "Eeew, there's the water treatem" it was, "Oh, look at the massive alligator snapping turtle in this huge tank of water that's being kept clean. He looks really REALLY old, I bet he's super hea- oop, there went a fish". Why Frontier thought that the negative effect was a good idea, tells me they don't go to zoos often enough. Or if they do, the one and only animal on exhibit are New York rats lol And from my time playing PZ, Outsiders in my zoo often get into a lot of fights with other troop members.
i originally started the series in franchise and only swapped to sandbox because of instability issues on franchise but when i swapped i wanted to keep all of the same limitations that franchise mode posed - i want to have a certain level of challenge in this series and not just have complete freedom
panthers will be coming later in the series in an indoor enclosure and tigers will be coming later as well and i have some ideas how to do that, will be a kinda walk through experience
awwww dont say that rose, like i always said about planet coaster - nobody sucks at these games, i guarantee there will be one thing in this game you will be amazing at, and at the end of the day so long as you are enjoying yourself it doesnt matter what others think, dont compare yourself to anyone else - even i look at others creations and doubt myself constantly
i am planning on addressing this at some point, i need to redo all the pathing in the entire zoo and then the roof tile pieces to not clip, will do all that off camera
@@IronMatty I have the same issues in my zoo in certain places. Makes me wish there was a way for the guests to follow the custom path instead of the actual terrain
One of your past videos I remember you saying you can have a species that breeds alot to sell off automatically. How do you do that? Know if a guide or video that you already have and you explain this?
Omg thanks. I thought I couldn't watch the series anymore! Really enjoying it every day I look to see if there's a new episode. Your builds are just fantastic! Excited to see the Nile monitor habitat.
that was purely the sizes of the ones i got at the start, all the animals in the game come in differing sizes, for instance my saltwater crocs male and female sizes are way different, the female is tiny and the male is an absolute monster!
Am i the only one struggling with this game? This must be the most noob unfriendly game i ever played. I played planet coaster and completed it 100%. I thought this might help in Planet Zoo. But no! I have no issues building, but keeping my animals happy, for example, is a complete mystery to me. Every parameter i can see is 100%, but still, one animal is unhappy. 🤯 Power losses that can't be explained. And many weird things more. I don't know if these things are just bugs or if i am simply missing something. It makes me feel like a complete idiot. So frustrating 😖 Someone got an idea or tips? Cause like this, i am not playing anymore. 😢
@IronMatty That is unfortunately not for me. I have the creativity off a doorknob! I wouldn't know where to start on a big emty map. I love the challenge of managing a park on the hardest difficulty. I played these kind of games all my life. It started a long time ago with command and conquer. Yes, i am old! 😅 I played planet coaster and jurassic world evolution 2 on console, and both got platinum trophies. Not that this is that difficult, but i would consider myself a good player in these games. All the mechanics of planet zoo are basically the same. And like i said. Building is nog the issue. But if i have 2 rhinoceros with plenty of space, the right plant's, water, food and toys. And the male is perfectly happy and the female has a welfare of 21%. i have no idea what to do. Sorry not watching anymore. Have been waiting since ep 1 for a reptile house so can learn how to do it myself on console and u literally skipped over the entire building aspect with a cut to finish between episodes

Maybe next u can add a platipus enclosure with a under water viewing section.
thats a great idea, i may do that on the other side of the zoo next to the lions and tigers i think
