Ethan on the CDT August 7, 2024

Wednesday, August 7, 2024. I met up with my nephew Ethan, who is through hiking the CDT. At the end of my motorcycle trip with my brothers I drove to Pinedale, WY, where he had spent a zero a couple days earlier, Picked up some trail, magic supplies, what I could get into a cardboard box with a couple bags of ice on my motorcycle, and drove up to Green River lake campground. After setting up camp, I hiked south along the east side of lower Green River Lake, and found him taking a swim in upper Green River Lake. Then I hiked with him 4 miles back to the campground and spent the evening with him. I'm so glad he took the time to let me spend an afternoon and evening with him. It was a blast for me. in the morning, he had it off to continue his adventure hiking north on the CDT and I packed up and headed for Bigfork Montana.
