- In this video I showcase my new holy fire build on the paladin in the new season 9 in Project Diablo 2.
I am having so much fun with this. Going charge only may be faster overall but the CE from sacrifice is so satisfying and the hybrid version works very well.

Hey, considering to change from holybolt/foh build and wondering, if this would be viable to also tackle dclone / ubers?

Sacrifice is not a good idea against monsters you dont one or two shot. T0 should be possible on fire charge tho, the big issue is getting enough survivability as armor and wep are locked in with this combination . If you are currently holy bolt/foh I would just do the fights on that instead, it is way stronger, and being ranged helps a ton.

People throw around budget like it doesn't mean anything anymore lmao. Highlords, Crown of Ages, Dragon Runeword, Anni, and Torch. a bit far from "Semi-Budget" if you ask me.
This is semi budget, remember this PD2 not d2r. That 1os coa is worth peanuts
Sur/Lo sure is. I agree, semi budget is like 2 HR equivalent for total equipment imo.
I tend to agree with you. But again budget is kinda subjective right. I self farmed anni and torch(pala torches are cheap), so dont really account huge value to those, even tho they ofc do give a boost. The main components are the flamebellow, which you should be able to get rather cheap and then the dragon RW (sur+lo), which I feel isnt far off average currency farmed at this point in the season, rest of the gear you can basically get on tradesite for a few wss each at this point in the season(just go for bad rolls or slams), and you dont need these exact items, can kinda build it urself to match preference in terms of lpk, how to get resistances etc.
Anyways all a matter of perspective, if you only have time to play 1-2 hours a day, then sure, it may be a bit far from budget.

Thoughts on the strength of doom+shattered wall instead? Think it’s around the same strength and speed? Would you go pb or zerker for leech? And max block or nah?
Yeah think it would be around the same strength and speed. I would just go for the base that enables u to hit highest ias for sacrifice easiest. Leech is not really something I would prio as the major dmg would be elemental anyways, so go for like lpk or I guess life on hit, but not % stolen per hit.
Max block and holy freeze seems really strong and would make u really tanky, I would prob go for it.
Nice. I suggest using flickering flame on your merc to give you a little bit more fire dmg.
tried to do it, but apparently there is a bug where using flickering on merc reduces player max res to 75, I do enjoy the added tankiness of 85-90 fr, but u could def do it for more dps
@@Monarchond2 really? Is the bug visible in the stat sheet? I’m currently running fflame and the inferno stride boots and my screen says I’m at 90fire res.
@@MrJosa82 Hmm. just checked again. It does reduce on tooltip for me, but only the passive points I get from maxing fire res. So if I put on waterwalks it show 80 instead of 90. Unsure if its only the passive points it reduces or also from items, just not displayed.

@@Monarchond2 you are absolutely right. Now I see it. FFlame does lower your max fire res. Crazy.

Seems fun and strong as well. I havent tried any of the new necro builds this season tho. Might do a poison strike necro later in the season.
Why only Conviction at LV 13? Why not max it?
I prioritized maxing holy fire synergies first and then joust because of increased mobility (cool down is lowered)
@@Monarchond2 so the dmg loss isn’t that big of a deal?
@@MrJosa82 Did not test that. But overall I prioritize mobility when doing map clearing. Just feels better to move faster imo.
