an in universe explanation as to why the shrine music are so good is because rauru was a pretty good musician, according to the chamberlain who scribed the history of hyrule in the floating pillars. so imagine rauru composed a sick track and he put it in the shrine so link could listen to it
And thats Rauru who play the saxo part in the music of the last trailer 😂

I've been playing the game intermittently since it came out.
Wait... wait really? There are only 2 more shrines left?
I can't unhear Link's footsteps, within the very first seconds of that theme.
Sheika shrines feel like a test... The shines of light feel like a quiet little adventure.
These shrines are so much prettier than the Sheikah shrines, I love the colors and setting so much! They feel otherworldly
Completely, and I even thought that in terms of gameplay, the TOTK ones were more diverse and fun !

Both styles are different.
The shrines from TOTK look more peaceful and ancient, while the shrines from BOTW look more cosmic and modern.
I like both in terms of design, they're tho different concepts.
To be honest...
I don't know, I... the sky world was extremely beautiful, and both themes are really good.
But these shrines are way _too_ Green for my taste. I like this shade of green, I really do, just not... everywhere.
I prefer the zonai shrines more than the sheikh one, both visually and music wise. It's a perfect combination of ancient civilization and futuristic. It kind of reminds me of an alien civilization which yes, the zonai technically are
Giving me splatoon vibes for some reason.
I think its the combination of the calming music and the sort of “liquid” ceiling reminding me of octo expansion.

This is some amazingly soothing puzzle solving synth music. :) I personally like it much better than the shrine music from Breath of the Wild.

I got so sick of everything surrounding the Shrines in Breath of the Wild after a while. I don't see that happening anytime soon in this game.
I love coming across the many variations of this shrine music, it's truly remarkable. How each shrine can hold a certain variation of the same song. The little details that make a big difference
Is it different for each shrine specifically? I noticed the music changed at points in shrines, but I put that change down to getting past a certain amount of each shrine's puzzles.
@@alastairward2774 I think I recall seeing a VGM music uploader say there were 70 in-game files for the shrine music alone, not even including the shrine battle music! Pretty nuts.
@@alastairward2774 It's the same melody but they progress differently in each theme. some don't sound as intense and some are more smooth and melodic if that makes sense. I've already found over 5 variations so far.
@@alastairward2774 If I'm not mistaken, it's upwards of 50 different tracks that get played in a completely random order. I believe it's the same way with BotW shrines, too.
I love the low whirring mechanical humming that's constantly in the background. Makes it seem like the Shrine is advanced technology of some sort

If this game has taught me anything, there is a text book solution and an outside the box solution.

Man!! the very first shrine in the sky Island, i was shocked to see the inside music has changed from breath of the wild, not only that but while i listen to this music near the entrance i was staring at the beautiful ceiling making think of the dimension i was in.
It has some really wind waker and twilight princess vibes! As a fan of the Zelda series I am enjoying it so far! Thank you very much for sharing this! ❤❤❤

this music is like one continuous line of thought, i love it. also pls tell me i'm not tripping, but is the shrine music in this game adaptive ? based on how much progress you've made/what type of shrine it is, the music will change ?
"Raurus' Blessing" Shrines have different music, and so do the construct battle ones
i know that much lol, but i'm pretty sure that each shrine you go to has subtly different music ! the intros are typically the same, but after that the structure of the song varies
@@acecaregoyou're right, the music is adaptive, and depends on how much you've solved, more layers get added to the track, such as an underlying beat as you get close to the end. Another video on CZcams has the breakdown

Gotta say that the shrines in this game are so cool! It's like if modern technology was ancient to these people and so you see this almost magical thing yet don't understand it because you're not part of that ancient civilization. I love the idea of modern tech being a thing of a past people cause it is so different from our reality. And the music compliments it so well too with these modern instruments and samples but with an ancient vibe to the songs. it's just so unique!

It is a really good theme for this asthetic. I’m not sure I can say this or BOTW are better than the other. They are both equally good imo
I will though. Breath of the wild was nice, but the high pitched instruments get old pretty quick. Not saying it wasn't good, but this is much better.

I just realized that the shrine theme from BotW is a remix of sorts of the dungeon theme from Link to the Past, & the shrine theme from TotK is a remix of the Dark World overworld theme from the same game. Neat.
I thought that green circle was my objective for a shrine, imagine the time lost
