Peter Jones has seen a similar product on Dragons' Den but for cucumbers. It was ridiculous then and ridiculous now.
Ziplock market is $20B, while the banana market is $140B. Problem is, what % of the banana market actually needs something like this? We can use Saran Wrap or foil to achieve the same result. Or just eat them before they are overripe

The wrap and foil are variable costs. The silicon cap is a fixed cost. If you eat A LOT of bananas, it makes sense to get one over constantly going through small amounts of wrap or foil. @@GuessTheSongMS

This is a great idea, but a lot of grocers already wrap the banana stem. Still would probably purchase for the look.
he’s going to help save the planet with less plastic and it will save grocers plastic and money by no longer having to wrap them in plastic
Correct, but the wrapping at the grocer's falls off, is unsanitary and our Nana Hats and the patent-pending silicone cap is 100% BPA free so we're good for the planet too!
