Just that in this deck the grave kinda becomes your primary "hand" and the cont. spell is a 4x ROTA that also empties your actual hand. Maybe not meta shifting, but could be fun to see what weird shit you can pull off with this.
I can't wait to run this with Ogdoadic monsters. Side Story: When I was a child and opening booster packs back in the day in the car while my Mom and Step Dad drove us home from Walmart I pulled a Malevolent Nuzzler, and I asked my Mom what a Male-Violent Nuzzler was...And they did a double take especially when they asked to look at the card art.

You what rank 8 doesn't get enough respect these days? Heliopolis. It would work fantastic in this deck. Send any number of monsters from your hand or field to grave and destroy that many cards on the field. All the grave setup you could ever want, and it clears the field in the process. Then you can just summon the rest from the grave for a quick and easy OTK.

Idea for a deck, this + Sringans. Springsns already play well with level/rank 8's while having plenty of effects that work from grave. Using Imsety as a 1 card combo to set up 2 the zombie vampire into F0 while loading the grave for springan plays. Mightn't have a super high ceiling but should be very consistent and set up 1-2 negates with a few pops and good amout of recovery available
This new archetype doesn't even synergize with the Horus LV monster like Konami decently retrained those outdated Armed Dragons LV...... But this is just like how Chaos Nephthys is a Nephthys monster to the Nephthys ritual deck.....😩
I mean its like a 15 card archtype, you have space for level 8 extenders and floodgates. You also have your normal so maybe u can also end on a abyss dweller: draw 3, rip 1 card, than end on f0 and 38 ? Its fine.

maybe I'm just a bad person but my first thought was floodgates. They summon from grave and are big so Skill Drain, the Sarcophagus outs anything bigger than 3k. And they're all different types so you can play under TCBOO.
I'll try to make a Horus,Black Flame Horus, Ishizu, Ogdoadic, Winged Dragon of Ra, Sarchophagus deck with curse of anubis. It will be 60 cards and bad but hopefully very fun
One thing I noticed (and something I'm grateful for) is that they suffer from a glaring Achilles Heel, and that's relying entirely on the Sarcophagus. Literally everything revolves around that spell card, and if you can get rid of it with things like MST or Galaxy Cyclone, they really can't do jack. It's so much better than Tears which were just flat out unstoppable no matter what you do. The opponent has a clear objective to reach in order to win, which is very much appreciated for anything that ISN'T Horus. Also there's something deeply ironic how this deck gets shut down HARD by Necrovalley.
The reliance on the continuous spell is probably something future support will solve lmao. I imagine we're getting horus himself and iris as cards to fill out the attributes, and I can see horus being a rank 8 that counts as sarcophagus on the field. Konami likes to make busted decks now and then and this is definitely one of them.
Non-quick removal probably doesn't work as well as you think. Using Galaxy Cyclone to remove the Sarcophagus is going to trigger all their effects, including being able to recycle the Sarc, draw more cards, prevent their monsters from getting targeted. Even things like MST or Cosmic would have this problem when you go 2nd with them.
I was going to agree with your removal methods but then I thought about what others said. I'd say DRNM, sphere more and possibly evenly are your best bets.

So, there’s this YugiTuber named Farfa. He was talking to chat about reading books in his childhood and not knowing how words were pronounced. In one book he read, the word “Sarcophagus” came up. He didn’t know he pronounced it incorrectly back then, but he said it like “Sacrophagus”, and there was accidental slight emphasis on the third syllable. This event happened fall upon June of last year. The stars could not have aligned so horribly. If you look up “Farfa sarcophagus”, you’ll find a video by Farfa Highlights with a title starting with “Taste the first of Ra”. Skip to two minutes in and he says it.
So having made it to the end of the video gotta say it's a pretty strong architype. That said it loses to exactly dd crow, d shift, or di-fi. Play this with runic though and watch the sarc go brrr though. Fairly consistent access to a turn 1 4 boss monster endboard aint half bad though. Unfortunately the tear meta means most decks will have answers for this right now.
The first one is basically a danger. The rest are bricks. I don't know how good the deckll be, but I don't think you play more than one of the last 3 horuses Edit, I don't think you play aegis at all. I think this could work as an engine. You play 3 imseti, 3 sarcophagus and 1 each of two others. If you draw imseti, the engine basically discards 4 cards from hand and ends on giantrainer draw 4. If you draw sarc, you discard 3 cards and play sarc to get giantrainer draw 3. It could work as an alternative to popperup.
This definitely looks pretty mid standalone but it's really cool to see a new deck that's not just extradeck.exe. Like yeah you can summon Rank 8s but you're pretty incentivized to sit on your main deck monsters. On the flip side looks funny in a Runick build tho. Ah yes let me use Imsety search Sarc, summon it back then make a Chaos Angel with Hugin, swarm the field with Horus monsters with mildly annoying anti-removal effects, and then draw back my discards
You can run this shit in eldlich and just use these assholes to help swarm the board, you can use this stuff and the eldlich stuff backed up by a bunch of floodgates, after all if they cosmic the sarchophagus to cut off the foolishes and advantage they can't cosmic your floodgate or your eldlich traps :3
I don't think that's right, mostly because, iirc, it is specifically based on the Medieval French form of the word "épitomé". That last "é" is specifically in line with how the Y in "beauty" is pronounced. If it is pronounced differently in english, it is just yet another case where english decides to just ignore anything and make the pronunciation more confusing. For example, The Celtics, which you would expect to be "Kelticks", is pronounced "sell-ticks" in America, and I hate it. Versailles (Vair-sei) is "vur-sayles", and a bunch of other stupid shit.

@@kirbyale7948 nah these cards are tier 1 potential for me. The rank 8 pool is pretty great and you can make giantrainer super easily with them to refill resources. They might need another wave of support to be it, but the sarcophagus is a very ignorant turn one play.

@@kirbyale7948 nah these cards are tier 1 potential for me. The rank 8 pool is pretty great and you can make giantrainer super easily with them to refill resources. They might need another wave of support to be it, but the sarcophagus is a very ignorant turn one play.
@@shawnjavery it seems that they rely too much on opening the continuous spell, the searcher is nice but it’s a send 2 for cost, if it gets ashed you get very behind (unlike foxy tune that sends for effect)
Yeah we will see with future supports, but for now it does not seem very good
I feel like these cards could be a pretty decent rank 8 engine and possibly even more, we just need to find the right deck for them
