Sold my Sony srs-x55 very recently, a 7-year-old much smaller model, and just got this xg300. I feel the bass was much deeper and stronger on the old speaker to be honest. Surprising given its age, size and price point.
2 months ago (march 2023) I bought an xg-300. About 2 weeks ago i bought a second one so that i could get the stereo sound. I absolutely love them. They fill my home with clear sound and plenty of bass. I love that the bass is enough so that it sounds great but doesn't overpower the rest of the sound ranges. Like I've said before, you can't get an understanding of the sound quality by listening to these videos. You're only getting the sound quality of the microphone the content maker is using and the listening device that you are using. Unless you have the speaker with you, these sound tests are pretty useless.
I love my Sony XG300 " I love watching movies and videos on my Samsung phone and tablet with this Sony XG300" Sounds Amazing! An the Sony XG300 has Very Low Latency which is Great for Movies 💯
@jacobsebastien3910 The sound quality just continues to impress me. Today, I bought an RCA cable that has a 3.5mm headphone jack at one end so I could hook at least one of my speakers to my tv. The low-end isn't overpowering but makes a world of difference in the sound quality. 😎🏍💨👍
I like the design of the Sony XG300. Especially the integrated handle and subtle lights. I also like the features. The fast charge, battery care, battery life, the ability to use it as a charging bank, and the ability to connect it to older speakers too. I plan to pick one of these up. I know that I'm 10 months late reading your comment. I have 2 of them and I absolutely live them. I hope you have gotten one by now. If you haven't, I recommend that you do when possible. It's fantastic how the small size of the package can produce such a large sound.
Just watched you reviews and the overall clarity sounds good on the new Sony speakers but the deep bass isn't there hopefully some updates can improve it. Great B-roll along with the setup 👌

I am running the 2900 firmware update now to be sure but Sony… whatever engineer lowered the bass power from the xb43 to this… fire them twice. I also have the xg500 which is a bass monsterS this 300 is 1/4 the size yet it doesn’t even have 1/8 the bass.
I'm planning to buy this speaker to replace my five year old XB30. The XB30 still works fine but I need a louder speaker because I use it mostly in my classroom. Is XG300 loud enough? 🤔
I love the design and features of this speaker the only problem IMO is the sound is not worth 350$. So many other speakers that are lower in price out perform this speaker.
@@fantomascr well depends what ur looking for as far as portability and how much u wanna spend. For big very loud speakers there's tribit- stormbox blast at 199$ or soundcore motion boom plus at 180$. These are great. JBL charge at 150$(it's a little smaller but great sound). The JBL extreme is bout 300$. It's the bigger version.
Do you know if the Sony SRS-XG300B works while charging, so that you don't have the surprise of running out of battery and you can immediately put it on charge and it will continue to work.
The motion boom plus is in other category, tribbit stormblast and the Boombox 2 jbl... This speaker can compare with the extreme 3, xb43, the motion boom

It’s predecessor, the xb43 whoops it in the bass department. Someone at Sony removed too much bass from the passive radiators on this xg300
