I was fond of both The Fairly OddParents and Jimmy Neutron as a kid so them doing a crossover special simply from the pretense of the two lead characters having rhyming names was sick to me. I think what makes this crossover so special is not just the interactions between the two main characters of Timmy and Jimmy, but with A LOT of characters from both worlds interacting with each other. You had Sheen, Carl and Libby interacting with Cosmo and Wanda for a good bit, having Anti-Cosmo, Jorgen and Calamitous having scenes together was genius, and having the duos of Sheen/Carl and AJ/Chester being all together at once was brilliant! The writing of this crossover is HEAVILY underrated and really makes me miss watching this for the first time when I was younger…

He was selfish and wished for things without thinking of the consequences but he was the first to panic and try to fix things. When he became 3D he just stopped caring and acted like a jerk. My biggest issue with these is how the Jimmy Neutron characters are written to be dumber than usual, like Fairly OddParents characters. Like, it makes sense that Timmy’s parents and friends think that Jimmy is just Timmy in disguise, both cause that’s something Timmy would do, but also cause they all just act stupid a lot. Meanwhile, you got Carl and Sheen thinking Timmy is Jimmy? Okay, maybe them, but Jimmy’s mom? She’s not an idiot. Or why would Cindy think Timmy is a genius, when she herself is on pretty much the same intellectual level as Jimmy? It’s subtle, but Jimmy Neutron is just a bit more grounded and realistic with how it’s characters act.

I think it’s safe to say they made the right choice by having this be non canon to Jimmy Neutron . Cause otherwise it would’ve de-value our opinions on them if they had out of nowhere written them to be less smarter just for the sake for Timmy to interact with them.

Secondly, I thought Jimmy and Timmy suddenly forgetting all their friends was annoying and didn't make any sense since it doesn't feel like the two boys liked each other enough for this plot point to work. Looking back at this trilogy, I feel that the reason that Jimmy and Timmy had such conflicts was mere out of jealousy from Timmy, not only due to Cindy, but what I believe is due to Jimmy having a better family than Timmy:
Judy and Hugh, knowing full well of Jimmy's genius, they have the parental responsibility to raise Jimmy like any other kid, not to be too lenient but also to be fair, and they do show they love Jimmy and are proud of having him for a son.
Timmy's Mom and Dad however, merely just get more selfish, neglectful, cruel, idiotic, scum that pools under a dumpster, constantly ditch Timmy, to the point of desperately avoiding him, and constantly stating how their lives were better before Timmy came along, in the episode "Super Poof", they ultimately replace Timmy for Poof and being better parents to him than to Timmy and Timmy's Dad is probably the worst of the two.
With Hugh, he's a moron and a goofball, but he's still a good father, in the episode "Make Room For Daddy-O", seeing Jimmy in danger, Hugh's fatherly instincts fight against the programming of Cool Hugh, and wins, saving Jimmy and showing that even with him being a goofball, he'll always be a good father to Jimmy.
Timmy's Dad on the other hand, is a total idiot and has zero morality with Timmy, being completely uncaring on Timmy's wellbeing, constantly seeing Timmy in much physical pain and not even show even one iota of concern.
So in this commenter's opinion, Timmy's reasons of causing conflict with Jimmy, stems from family jealousy, how he was struck with two horrible idiots for parents, while Jimmy had a loving mother and father, and generally having a good (albeit occasionally rocky) life.

The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour trilogy is my all-time favorite crossover series! I own all three parts on DVD. As a kid, I’d always get super excited whenever any of the Jimmy Timmy specials aired on TV because it was very rare to see any of them turn up, especially the second part (from what I remember).
My favorite part is When Nerds Collide, because I enjoy that special’s premise the most. Cindy being the primary reason for Jimmy and Timmy butting heads is a neat way of bringing them together, and the Jorgen-Calamitous fusion allows for silly moments between the two (like when Calamitous forced Jorgen to eat a sandwich). The ending where Jimmy and Timmy argue over who gets to dance with Cindy while slipping her in and out of their respective dimensions is iconic.
I think The Jerkinators is the funniest in the trilogy and has the best quotes and running gags:
“Do you know what this means? Do you? Do YOU?”
“Look out! It’s raining authority figures I don’t respect!”
“Are you the future of mall security?”
“Talk to the fudgy hand! Anybody who loses your interest gets tossed aside like yesterday’s gold bullion!”
My favorite interaction in The Jerkinators, as well as the trilogy in general, is:
Timmy: “Bracelets? I don’t remember giving him girly, weapon-deflecting jewelry!”
Jimmy: “That’s because he’s adapting! You must’ve typed “adaptable” instead of “adoptable”!”
Timmy: “Well, you should’ve checked my spelling!”
The Jimmy Timmy Power Hour trilogy will go down in history as one of the most iconic crossover series… or maybe it already has!

As much as I like the second and third Power Hour specials, I think they got the villains wrong in the second. Professor Calamitous should have been paired up with Mr. Crocker because they're both smart and main antagonist of Jimmy Neutron & Timmy Turner respectively. Why you could argue Calamitous is secondary like the Anti-Fairies, he's was more prominent than AntiCosmo & AntiWanda who were replaced by their baby Foop. Zix, Travoltron, and Tee might have made a better pairing with the Anti-Fairies but a much better duo would be the rich boy Eustace Strych and Remy Buxaplenty who also want to ask out Cindy to the Friday the 13th dance, or better yet they end up taking Trixie Tang & Betty Quinlan.
I also don't think they should have abandoned the idea of them having superpowers in favor of a villain not wanting to be a villain plot. They should have been superheroes throughout and I will never understood why Jimmy didn't go Hulk when Timmy became Clef. Jimmy had an alternate ego, he didn't need to create another one that didn't have other classic powers that come with intelligence like mind reading, telekinesis, mental manipulation, and EPS.
