Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

The reason Kan won in his bus is pretty simple yet complex at the same time - the first is the fact it was a shell (fyi, armor seems to only work versus weapons, not velocity based impact damage) with the engines and seat inside with plenty of distance from potential impact aoes - As far as I can tell; the way damage in trailmakers works is each part has a specified tolerance and when hit the tolerance in that area is depleted in a radiating pattern based on weld groups (a shell tends to be one weld group so technically is stronger until it fails, resulting in a larger block loss in that area of impact)
Then we have the wheels - Wheels in effect are indestructible - its the hinges which have breakable tolerance at the point of connection to a block and the point where it connects to a wheel - thus when you drove at the side and hit the wheels; you were effectively hitting an indestructible block - one that can clip inside a structure to damage internal weld groups during impacts
Then we have another (somewhat conjectured on my part) reason - the weld groups of a build can interact with each other - As one can see when a piston glitch goes wrong and the area around the piston glitched part is damaged/destroyed; the interaction of the piston glitched weld group interferes with the other weld groups its adjacent to - in other words lets imagine a block wall with adjacent groups A-B-C - If A is hit with enough force, A can be pushed into B and A and B can be pushed into C - The result being B and C are damaged despite being inside the structure - This in effect is what was happening to the more 'sturdy' vehicles
Of course luck has its part to play in such things (such as angle of impact, ect) but the above I feel explains why the Battle bus succeeded

I literally crying over the amount of nostalgia from this guy, I remember staying up until 2am watching hi. Hit 100K. I found d him due to squiddys video on scrapmechanic. Been here since 12K the amount t of different builds and they were so diverse. I stopped watching at him peak when he was making trailmaker videos, last one I watched was the dragrace glitching one. Once I finally got the game in 2017 I played for about 5 hours before I realised that I wasn't having fun due to 5 fps and no friend. I've been needing wholesomeness from people like scrap man and have met soooooo many just simply good people on his server, I sincerely thank this man to most of my childhood. I wish that good people and really nice people like scrap man got credit. Only the ogs whatch now and its depressing. I hope he will see this and work towards getting more fame on his channel. Thanks for my life.

For some of the next multiplayer in TM, you should make a community challenge where people build you demolition derby vehicles (with set rules) and upload it for you on workshop. Each youtubers subscribers make a vehicle for their youtuber, and you choose favorites and fight them. It would make this stay home days fly faster if we had a project to work on.
Juggernaut derby the juggernaut gets more complexity points to create his car and then the other two make less complex vehicles and the role of the juggernaut switches between rounds

I think the bus was superior since it's lighter more energy is converted to momentum instead of damage but the heavily armored vehicles are heavier causing more energy to convert to damage.

Multiplayer Monday Suggestion:One Wheel Challenge
So basically you can only use one wheel an to make it worse,you have to use the flubber wheels and you can only use one sensor/piston to get you back up/get you balanced.
Also:The material you can only use is the blocks that came with the flubber mod(except bearings and seats and engines)
However,you can use flubber as support on the sides BUT you can only do ONE side ONLY.

Kan's bus was so strong because the 1x4x8 building block is the strongest plock from all, it can rezist up to 3 bullets(may changed from when i did the test) and a cube of the blocks that i made to test my weapons i found was almost undestructeble!
I suggest you if you want a better chance to win use the 1x4x8 block as armour and wepons to (maybe a hammer or something) just so it can rezist more hits
