    Hope the Rivian job goes well! EVs of one kind or another are probably the future so worth getting into. I’ve worked mainly on fork lift trucks (In the UK) since 1985 and electric has grown and grown. (Both battery and hybrid) It’s been amazing to see the advances in tech and it was good for me to start at a basic level and see it progress. Retired now but I had a good living by stepping up. There’s a lot to learn, but good luck with it! 👍🏻💪🏻

    Kyle, nice hearing from you!! I'm
    definitely looking forward to the
    possible 06 build with the HellCat
    super charger as I have an 06 Daytona Charger R/T, that would be
    a project I would to throw at my 5.7,
    plus it has only 58k on the car!!!
    Take care and enjoy the summer!!

    I don't care what anyone says, the Magnum will always be one of my favorite cars. I ended up getting a Ram 1500 back in the day. Sometimes I kick myself I should've gotten the Magnum I looked at, was this exact color with black wheels also

    Rivian recalled all its 2022 vehicles sold between December & September, 12,212, so you should be busy for now. Eventually though I think that company is going under because EV's are not a viable option.

    • @RustbeltMechanic
      @RustbeltMechanic  Před rokem

      They did issue one, however they did something that no other brands do…. They sent out all their techs to inspect and/or fix every vehicle mobile at the customers leisure. And now, two weeks later every vehicle under the recall has been fixed.

      I got to agree with the electric vehicle going under. Have you ever dealt with the charging stations. Utter mess. And charging time is FOREVER. We need to stop this nonsense and stay the course with gas powered vehicles. I had one ev and i was so grateful to trade it in for a gas powered car.

      The service vans are mostly ford transits, some locations depending on infrastructure are rolling out electric R1T trucks or even their new EDV vans.

    Ev's are NOT the future

    • @wandameadows5736
      @wandameadows5736 Před rokem +1

      Your 100% correct. It's the most unreliable option that would take decades of infrastructure building & massive amounts of earth moved to make the battery & the industry would be in a mechanic & battery shortage constantly. Its also not going to change the weather so the flooded cars on the coastline will be useless & dangerous & the ev's up north will constantly break do & there will be many people dying in there vehicles because an accident caused the battery to catch fire & the fire departments aren't equipped to put ev's out fast enough & that's if they get there in time while & a trapped or unconscious car driver is still alive. There is no viable option to the combustion engine unless you live in a city were there's a lot of electricity sources but even the the stress that will be put on those power delivery sources will cause major issues. Its amazing that anyone would think delivering energy to a car is better than a car creating its own energy. Cars are independent of the electrical grid & when your power goes out & you don't have a home generator most people get in the car to stay warm or cool or they drive somewhere to do something in hopes the power will be back on when they return. Also imagine going on a road trip, people would spend most of there time waiting in line for a charge. Charging takes 15+ minutes for the person at the charger. There's no way these stations could handle the volume of amount of charges needed.
