I was sexually abused at 7-9 years old never told anyone I blocked it out till I was 19 and at 13 I was sexually assaulted. I never got justice I had to see that person everyday at school. I was on antidepressants at 13 years old and also started to drink and self home at 13. At 14 I started to Starve myself. I was bullied at school and online. At 15 I tried to kill myself overdosing and left school while my abuser stayed.At 16 I made myself sick. At 17 things got a little bit better and felt like life was getting better. At 18 I had no friends at all they all have hurt me. At 19 I found out this person who I’ve been texting for a year was also a child sexual abuser and he was trying to make me go out with him so he can hurt me and I told my family what happened to me at 7-9 years old but i never got justice and the person lives around the corner from me. I sometimes wish I never told anyone cause it feels like a waste of time. I’m 20 now and I’m still a mess but trying to survive.
I am so sorry about what happend to you. Non of it you deseved! You are brave telling your family. You are brave thinking about it and trying to come back from it. You are brave still living. Never forget that. You are worthy! And every day you survive is a victory over all the worthless people who did this to you! Dont give up! Dont loos faith in your self! Living through all of this makes you an incredibly brave and strong person and you are so much better than everyone who faild you, let you down and hurt you. There are so many who lost the fight. You havent! You are still here and that is amazing! I think of you!

And yes it did actually happen to him, Aaron was never making that up. And that's just a few of the really terrible things that have happened to Aaron in his life. I swear that guy has had such a heartbreaking life. I just want to see him simply be happy for a change, instead of having to fight all the time for even a sliver of peace.
the way he withdraws from affection was so upsetting, emmerdale wrote this so cleverly, it fits with his old behavior.
Aaron has got to be my favourite character.
