They have a really great cheerleading team
It would be nice to see Southern University go to NCA with Morgan State to represent hbcu. Personally I see them as a UCA or USA style team which is very top notch. Good work SOUTHERN

People on here are a trip... Southern is of the only HBCU who compete in National Cheerleading Computations. Most HBCU do not. That's why other HBCU cheer in a different unique styles according their school

Now this is cheerleading. I go to a PWI actually I attend the same school who just won Nationals for small coed. But that stomp and shake stuff is cute but I don't consider it cheerleading🤷🏾♂️
Most of the skills are illegal, but I guess it doesn’t matter until someone gets hurt.
I would like see an HBCU that includes some actual level 4 and 5 stunts in there routine. SU is okay but I see these stunts performed by 10 year old's all the time, come on I want to be impressed. Oh yeah, there is nothing wrong with stomping and shaking on the step team - I am lost on how it goes with cheerleading though....
Xtrardinary Diva this is a coed collegiate level cheerleading team. You won't be seeing any lever 4 or 5 stunts. The pyramids that you saw were 2 and 1/2 person high which isn't legal for 10 year olds on a level four team. We can do full group stunts, that doesn't take much difficulty.
