Maybe they could've replaced the 1st FIRE DEMON with something like TREASURE RING but apart from that I don't really know what else they could've done to stop FIRE DEMON being played twice each week in Series 2

A flaw I find with Raven as a gameshow is questionable challenge choices in a week. The first Fire Demon excursion should be replaced with a proper team VS team challenge considering 50% of warriors fail Fire Demon anyway. The problem is, there was NONE. No Snake Pit, Millstone Towers, etc, nothing of that sort. Other bad cases include Skull Cage being played with the last 3 in series 7. A leadership challenge where last placed person can do nothing but watch is terrible. In series 10, Deep Loch was played with the final 3 and that's no fun.
They could've done something like Dark Forest from Series 1 where they had to earn their EMBLEMS with The First 3 Warriors Winning Gold Rings 3 RINGS For 1st, 2 RINGS For 2nd & 1 RING For 3rd And Any Warrior Who Fails The Challenge Or The Warrior Who Is LAST TO FINISH Will Immediately Lose Their Very First Life!
