    First of all, the premise dehind doordash and the other delivery apps is absolutely revolutionary. These companies are changing everything about the retail, food and grocery industry. Many flaws need to be addressed certainly but that is the case in any new or existing technology. The biggest issue on the food delivery side is of course the waiting at restaurants. This is a necessary evil in the business and there are a host of reasons for this flaw in the process. The only way drivers can offset this situation is to include the obligatory time in their personal pricing strategy. Since I have done this I am more profitable, work less hours and have reduced my stress level. Drivers need to really do their homework and figure out the exact price point at which they can turn a profit and they need to stick to it. Each market is different and each drivers situation is unique but to just randomly take orders without a solid business plan is a huge mistake. The other big mistake which relates to the above sentence is underestimating the wear and tear on their vehicles. No vehicle no job...kind of important.

    As a driver I am highly interested in the functions of this AI as I am doing my best to establish a win/win scenario with the AI as well as the company.
    Thank you guys for this freedom of scheduling; I'm making a quality income on it as well. Not enough to raise a family but enough to get me through this next phase in my life.
    Anything I can do to help you guys out more as a driver, feel free to reach out to me.

    I will sit inside the restaurant for an order but another driver shows up. Weird ! Over 1000 dashes with 98 percent delivery rate.

    Literally just happened.
    A order for Jason's deli in Altamonte springs to go to heath row/ lake Mary. 9 miles for 10.00
    There is a Jason's deli in lake Mary two miles away.
    20 Mile's round trip for 10 dollars and blocked coming back from getting orders.
    Door dash get paid more for using a restaurant further away.
    Plus it gets a low acceptance rate dasher out of the area.
    I drive a V8 a get 10 to 12 miles per gallon.( It is what it is.) 20 milles round trip cost me 10.00 dollars. So I decline then get attacked with app issues and lower paying orders for hr give and take, phone freezes, I have to be selective in the orders I accept or I would run it of gas or deliver for free which is stupid. But retaliating against drivers is straight up wrong. When they are good dependable drivers.

    Good preso, Raghav! It left me with wanting more low-level details. Looking forward to more AI content in the future.

    You can do like they do and many other companies create business debit cards so you they can keep the accumulated interest from all balances from all dashers, but that goes for any business with a wallet.

    At least once a week door dash will send you to a restaurant in one town and have you deliver to a different town passing the same restaurant only a few minutes from a customer to hike up the customers delivery fees.

    Not to tell a rising company that I do work for how to make more profit quicker, but I would like to suggest a slider bar on the APP that tips more for early and less for later compared to what is expected with respect to time. Also you could call me for more ideas.

    Supposedly thete is a button on the restaurants tablet they can push when a order is ready. But door dash likes to send low acceptance rate drivers to the restaurant before the ready button is pushed to waist drivers time as if waiting through the rediculous priced delivery fees and waiting 30 to 40 minutes on customer service doesn't waist enough time.

  • @flybynightgirl
    @flybynightgirl Před 5 lety +1

    I would say sit in restaurants make you want up to 30inutes especially when they are not partners. Then the system adds pick up to your route. Flawed. Doordash tells dashers we cannot guarantee restaurant pick up times and food readiness but these restaurants create a snowball affect when they don’t care about delivery pick up time. As a result driver had poor rating on delivery on time and customer satisfaction. Restaurants IMO want The business however are not so proactive . Especially on partner restaurants.. Adding an order on route the system does not tell you mileage which is misleading at times it’s not on my route. Also it happens when you’re driving causing distraction while driving if you don’t add it to your route the system penalizes the dasher. On acceptance rate.

    The problem is door dash stealing tips and not charging enough for orders and using customers tips to make a delivery fair and profitable for drivers. Driver's driving vehicles with maintenance and repairs being given two customers on one order and having to wait 5 to 30 minutes for each order. And one order pays 2.50 for one order and the second order with a ok tip has to cover both orders to make it decent. Being retaliated against for unassigning a order for having to wait 30 minutes for a order.

      Dafaq !! Lol why so ? He's at the engineering part of it. It's an extremely chaotic world with huge undeterministic decision space, only algorithms like these get the right DD guys take orders in the right way. If you are calling out for over exploitation of DD guys, what will this guy do about this. It's about the company policies and it comes into the financial space. Stop nitpicking.

  • @eveadams8028
    @eveadams8028 Před 2 lety

    Yeah being bullied by app issues, being sent ridiculous orders 2.50 minimum to pick up a deliver food.
    Yeah nothing like drivers being attacked with app issues while driving vehicles. Nothing like being paused for for declining orders, for the gps freezing while driving because drivers decline orders that don't even cover the gas.

  • @eveadams8028
    @eveadams8028 Před 2 lety +1

    Door dash takes the 2.50 delivery minimum out of tips a lot of the times.
    If you are a thief, con artist and like to attack people with app issues door dash has a job for you. Grand theft auto made into a food delivery business

  • @eveadams8028
    @eveadams8028 Před 2 lety

    Door dash systems are awesome for those that want to steal tips from there workers. They hide behind app issues as a retaliation tactic. Lock up your phone when you decline orders.
    You turn off all notifications and they block your screen with error messages outside the app with all notifications turned off. Send you to restaurants to cancelled orders to waist drivers time.
    Steal tips that customers give after the delivery is complete half the time.
    There is no telling how many accidents are caused by door dashes retaliation tactics to use it's drivers. 90% of there wording in the app is straight up lies used manipulation.

  • @eveadams8028
    @eveadams8028 Před 2 lety

    Limiting how much a driver makes . If a customer does tip after a delivery. drivers get blasted with orders they would not normally accept just so door dash can say they sent a driver orders and they decline for a certain amount of time.
    You have two drivers top dashers and low acceptance rate drivers who generally set a certain minimum for each order.
    The obedient slaves get the best paying orders
    The work when you want and where you want is total manipulation tactic freezing screens behind other screens, with wording on paused screen to make is sound like drivers voluntarily paused the screen when they did not.
    Door dash just happened to profit during a pandemic to raise billions for more AI research and recording drivers routes and actions not just whole driving but. By spying on drivers using door dash business debit cards and their spending habits while taking the interest and stealing tips.
    Which is still amazing how driving for door dash is considered independent contractor with debit card monitoring collecting the interest, and all the app issue attacks to drivers for refusing to to used.

  • @eveadams8028

    Door dash needs to fix their sexual robot unexpected error issues from blocking order screens while drivers are working. They make it ivery clear they care nothing about drivers safety.
