The fans deserve a better performance than what we've saw the last two games.
We need to see the fight and belief that we know the players have in them.

@@markrichards2655 Gio was fundamentally correct in what he said. To compete against the highest level you need to have access to similar levels of resources, otherwise the outcome will generally favour your opponent. Too much is being made of his comments. Get behind the manager and the team.
He has never had the legs though. His age has made little difference to the way he plays, he might be slightly less energetic but in terms of his ability to set the tempo of a game from the middle of the pitch he’s as effective as he’s ever been. He can spot and play passes other players simply don’t see. We are better when he plays in the side and I hope he starts alongside Lundstraam or Jack as the 2 sitters with Arfield or Tillman in the 10 role.

People take too many things out of context, especially Gio's comments and Davis did well answering this question. Gio was only being honest and straight to the point. It's a reality check. Whilst we faced some top sides in the Europa, that was a Dortmund side we faced who got thrashed off Ajax, albeit, the Ajax side had some of their players they sold off recently, but besides the point.
We know we're capable of better though and Davis has just pointed that out there. I do hope we get a number of our players back from injury though, Davies, etc?
Ajax spent £100million this summer.
They sold 4 first team regulars, they were NOT gutted like most people think.
They Replaced Martinez with Bassey and Bassey is proving a great buy for them, they love him in Holland.
Brought in Bergwijn who is a good player replaced Haller with another good young forward.
Make no mistake, Ajax is still a strong team.
You are correct though in that we should be playing better, it's just not good enough against sides like this.
The thing is, players like Goldson and Kent who thought Gerrard was taking them to the promised land and didn't had their egos bruised again this summer when no one came for them. Goldson was FREE and no one came for him.
Some fans are making excuses saying "you don't know what offers Gildson had" .... Yes we do, he had none.
We cannot and do NOT hold onto any of our players anymore when the EPL and Championship clubs cone knocking because if the wages they offer for starters and the dizzying lights of the EPL is another huge draw, so Goldson got no offers.
These bruised egos now expect to be treated like gods at Rangers and it's not good enough. They are not even that special.
We need to drop Goldson and Kent and the rest if the team will fall in line and up their game.
This will come down to confidence and how much confidence we as supporters can give them...So that being said lets make sure the Napoli players hate being here and lets bring down their confidence.

Lundstrum is the only one to show me any fight to drag the players up. He is the best we have and should be captain.
We also need a new vice-captain because the selfish and lazy bigfoot just doesn't do it. Any defender who jumps out the way and ducks underneath the ball coming near him is a coward and shouldn't be played let alone a captain.

@@RMCM1872 What do you think of Marcelo Gallardo of Rive Plate bud? He has won the Copa Libertade twice in the last 8 years which is almost impossible to do now with the Brazilian teams being so much richer and stronger now than all the other South American teams now.
@@jacksonbow2766 He seems to be highly thought of and the more I read about him the more he excites me but it seems clubs from bigger leagues are sniffing around him which makes it very difficult for us. I think the most important thing we need to do is get a manager/coach that plays exciting progressive football and changes the culture of the club

Rangers curently has a much bigger squad than the likes Man City, Liverpool and Celtic (Celtic have 27 players, us 32). I bet if we look around Europe Rangers will have more bodies than most teams.
So when fans hitch and moan about wanting MORE, MORE, MORE signings, "We need striker, midfielders, defenders and goalie too" add it all to the already bloated 32 man squad and we have a 40 man squad.
Then we are back to spending money the club just doesn't have and we then go bust again and get kicked out the league again.
