From here she crosses back to Northern Ireland and enters the turbulent waters of Strangford Loch with the Mountains of Mourne on the horizon. After a final call at Rathlin Island, Venture II arrives in Scotland at the Isle of jura to begin her cruise of the Scottish Isles - covered in other videos.

Since I will never be able to afford one of these yachts, I can only live vicariously through this series of videos. I need to transform them to virtual reality so that I can completely immerse myself.

the sea is basically the sea. you dont need a yacht. fly down economically and rent a boat. you need a ICC captains license on power and sail with CEVNI and that should get you everywhere. get a radio operators cert - maritime and a ham radio license too. ive captained boats in dozens of different countries and its not that expensive.

It's great to live these experiences vicariously through your excellent videos, Tony. You really have got the presentation down to a fine art!. We visited Jura earlier in 2019 and loved it, staying at the Jura Hotel, where we saw a small cruise ship moored in the same area offshore as Venture 2 is shown. I filmed the tenders from the ship taking passengers to the pier at Craighouse. Fascinating stuff.

I lived and worked in Africa for several years plus i drove a truck from London to Central Africa and back plus I worked in Asia for over 30 years. It's all documented on line. I cannot take my boat to any of these places. They are too far away and I am now too old.

@@FlemingYachts I just watched your trip accross Africa in 1959, a time when European Colonialists Stripped the continent of everything they could mine or grow. I made the trip in the late 80's, eventually reaching Cape Town. The entire trip reminded me that colonizing nations, using the native populations like slaves, and failing to educate said populations to a level whereby they could properly take over from the fleeing cowards. I'm Irish. My own country was almost ruined by the British raiders, but has rebuilt itself into a powerhouse. I wonder if the life you lead is funded by your time spent working on Africa and India.

@@LizaFergison I am indeed sorry to hear that your life has been soured by your beliefs. In fact in 1985 when I was 50 years old I had no job and therefore no income and a credit rating of zero. I have never taken a penny from any form of government support. The schools I have visited in my travels around the world have been very different from the ones you describe. I have never worked in india. You have my sympathy.
