Groucho Marx famous quotes and sayings.
Groucho Marx's true wisdom was to live life everyday to the fullest and to not take yourself that seriously. He was the master of the one liner and his wit was legendary.
Julius Henry Marx (October 2, 1890 - August 19, 1977), known professionally as Groucho Marx, was an American writer, comedian, stage, film and television star. He was known as a master of quick wit and is widely considered one of the best comedians of the modern era. His rapid-fire, often impromptu delivery of innuendo-laden patter earned him many admirers and imitators.
He made 13 feature films with his siblings the Marx Brothers, of whom he was the third-born. He also had a successful solo career, most notably as the host of the radio and television game show You Bet Your Life.
His distinctive appearance, carried over from his days in vaudeville, included quirks such as an exaggerated stooped posture, glasses, cigar, and a thick greasepaint mustache and eyebrows. These exaggerated features resulted in the creation of one of the world's most ubiquitous and recognizable novelty disguises, known as Groucho glasses: a one-piece mask consisting of horn-rimmed glasses, large plastic nose, bushy eyebrows and mustache.
Here are some of his famous and not so famous quotes and wisdom.

@daveindurham2701 I believe he was taking someones pulse
he was a GREAT ad-libber, but virtually all of these were written for him. Doesn't make them any less funny...
Many of his best lines were written by S.J. Perelman---which, as you say, doesn't at all detract from Groucho's genius. My all-time favourite (hard to choose from among so many) is "Let us lodge with my fleas in the hills - - - I mean flee to my lodge in the hills!"
What you don't see is being funny is not about the writers it's timing and a lot of banter that triggers a response being a scouser I know we laugh at ourselves but funny is universal and that is what makes groucho so special a legend if there ever was one xxxxxxxxx
QUE BUENA MISIC
I love, simply LOVE Groucho, but many of these lines attributed to him were written for him by Screenwriters or people like SJ Perelman. But you go, Marxophiles!!!
Yes, and he liked to walk in the house without any clothes.
AND LOOK OUT THE WINDOW?
