It’s my first ever visit to Shanghai Disneyland and this is part 1 of one of the best days ever! Not even the rain could get in the way of a day in Disneyland. Part 1 includes on ride footage of Soaring and Pirates of the Caribbean, the most wholesome meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie, Mickey’s Storybook Adventure- the most incredible show, Mickey’s Storybook Express Parade and The Golden Fairytale Fanfair Show at the castle! I love the fact that all the parks are so different. Different shows, rides, even castles. Shanghai Castle is stunning. The most real looking
I know! And it’s always a different experience everytime! My favourite castle so far I think… bold statement!

top tips: Go to Nanshan Bamboo Sea in Zhejiang and Jiangsu for vacation. The climate there is much better. There are bamboo forests to escape the summer heat. There are also giant pandas, ancient towns, Hanfu activities, bamboo forest cable cars, and bamboo forest food. You can experience it
A very luxurious experience, the bamboo sea is only available in China，It can be called China's Little Switzerland.

Great video and thank you for the tips -- especially for someone who isn’t well versed in Chinese. I do wonder if you experienced any end of the day crowd after the fireworks to grab a taxi out from the park back to hotel. Or the taxis are well available on their closing hour. Also, if you can recall, how long was the walk from the taxi station to the entrance? Thanks!

Hi! Thank you for watching! There was definitely a crowd at the end of the day, especially as they close all of the rides just before the final show at the castle, meaning anyone there will be leaving immediately after those fireworks and projections! However, I don’t remember it being a problem at all. I can’t remember how long the walk to the taxi rank was, my best guess would be maybe 5 minutes. Everything is signposted with images to follow which transport you need which was helpful. I do remember there being an endless amount of taxis though! We did stand in a queue but it went down so quickly because of the amount of taxis already ready to take people as it was at the very end of the day. The process was very easy :)

My planned visit is on a Saturday, it is a challenge to myself to cover Disneyland Hong Kong, Shanghai, then Disney Sea & Disneyland Tokyo in a week. :D right after Disney Shanghai I am catching a flight at 2am. XD
What time of year did you go? Also did you find it okay when you arrived at the airport talking and finding your way/taxi/hotel? X
I went at the beginning of May! As we’re cabin crew, we don’t often need help navigating through the airport as all of that is done for us (taxi/hotel etc) however, once we were at the hotel, we found that although there wasn’t many English speaking staff members, they were still very helpful in booking us a taxi to the Disneyland park☺️

What is the stand by pass? Is it required if you wanna watch the show?
The standby pass was just a way of securing a seat for the show. It meant that you joined a virtual queue almost. I think it was required on that day, but I have a feeling it depends on how busy the park is around that time. It was a priority for us as we really wanted to see it and so the lovely cast members at guest services sorted it for us, but it’s completely free and easy to do on the app ☺️

I don’t remember seeing any actually, but I can’t say I was looking either, so maybe that’s why! Sorry I can’t be much more help

Aha, oh I know bless them! I always think how difficult and tiring those parades must be for the cast members, must be good to interact with everybody though!
It’s a nice park, but I found the locals to be really disrespectful, going to the toilet in the gardens, laying on the ground in the bathroom smoking, same inside the castle.
I heard things like this before I went too! But I didn’t come across anything like it thankfully. Maybe I just got lucky!
*What I can never comprehend is: WHY IS THERE EVEN A DISNEY IN CHINA??*
