Hey Rob. We just got this delivered from our landlord. BUT I have no idea how to get it to make ICE. it doesn’t have the WIRE Arm That you lift up & down it has some thick PLASTIC white looking thing that is sticking up Is there the ARM? We tried to gently snap in down to make ice but it was very resistant to being put down & didn’t want to break. HELP!!!!
I sure you have figure this out by now but if you have not lift up on the ice box pull it straight out their a rocker switch on bottom make sure it on .
@@juanabarajas76 that is the exact issue we are having. We have had whirlpool technician come out twice to replace control board, it hint that’s why that part is called. Every other day my husband uses blow dryer to defrost the back of fridge due to ice building up. The temperature has never been as cold as I would like it.
Warning for potential buyers. This thing is LOUD comparatively. It replaced a super cheap, smaller model and is much, much louder. It is efficient but, requires it to run constantly. Also, the Ice maker is known to fail. It has a reset built in that occasionally fixes the issue for a few days.
@@kiwisun529 ours is levelized billing so it would be hard to tell. It does run A LOT but because it is "energy efficient" so by the energy star rating it should not draw more power. NOTE: mine failed shortly after this post and was replaced by a similar model.
@@Koopa4747 oh no. How long did it last and do you like your new one? We need a new fridge and everything we have looked at are average reviews and many complaints. they dont them like they use to....our old fridge lasted 18 years. thanks for responding.
@@kiwisun529 it failed within 3 months. Warranty was a massive pain. I had to call and follow up once a week. It was nearly 2 months before we had the replacement. The new model (do not have the model number) has been fine. Much quieter and no issues.
@@Koopa4747 If you find the new model # . Can you post it please? thanks for your help I really appreciate. I know several ppl co workers neighbors etc whose refrigerator DIE within a couple years. Im shocked quality has sunk so far.:(
wow, mine came yesterday, handles don't line up the same either, one is higher than the other....what gives with all the crooked handles Whirlpool??Also Milk cartons only fit on the door and I have read never store milk on the door as it spoils faster and I want my milk ice cold and it isn't unless it just takes longer.
You didn’t t show where the water filter filter is located and how to replace it. What to do if the ice maker is not dispensing ice but the water is working. This video was common sense. The important things like the water filter and the ice maker problems are more important to us.

I just tried charging the filter and I have a real loud hammering sound . I'm replacing it with the exact same Everydrop Number 1. What's happening.?

@@moradora4471 I was able to fix mine, you take off the panel at the very bottom and there’s screws you turn to even them out.

Open the freezer door, look at the bottom,there is a little door, pull it out little,the water filter will come out.

My control board has been replaced twice. We purchased it less than 2 years ago.
