Kitchen Table Makeover | Annie Sloan & Varathane

Refinish a wood table using this tutorial by Christina Muscari of Pretty Distressed for a farmhouse table look. This video contains instructions on how to chalk paint a dining table using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White and stain a table top using Varathane Stain in Sunbleached sealed with General Finishes High Performance Top Coat in Flat. This is a heavily distressed look.

Very nice finished product. I have refinished old and new stuff for many years. Another way to knock off the varnish between coats is with 400 grit wet or dry (black) using water. The water lubricates and removed the particles from the surface of the project. The paper can be dipped in the water to wash off the abrasive.
