Oda sensei himself said that the actor playing Luffy was like Luffy had actually jumped straight out of the Manga/Anime.
The cast is absolutely great I can’t wait to see the rest.

When I saw One Piece on Netflix I had no idea what it was and started watching because I was bored. Like you I loved it and now have started watching the animé (up to Impel Down .... season 19). You will notice a few major differences that don't hurt anything. The reveal about Garp comes in this season, and Coby is much more of a presence. And yes Buggy is great
When Zoro picked up the safe, that was the hardest I've ever seen someone work to suppress a, "Heeeeyyyy!"

You will not be prepared enough for LA Mihawk XD He legit looks like he stepped out of the anime, but more attractive. It's a real shame that the character has so little screen time in the manga/anime. I was positively shocked how well cast every single actor in this LA is, but Mihawk and Zeff especially feel like they came out of the TV/manga.
I felt it too when I first watched this. I thought Zoro live is pretty hot and good-looking.

The snails in the show are little... okay, HUGE eldritch horrors... and they grow on you somehow. Sometimes I miss the cute little snails, but the show does still do cute occasionally, so I'll forgive them. Also, Nami's actress is Emily Rudd. And she's perhaps the biggest One Piece fan among the cast, trying to get the role for Nami since before the show was announced. If we ignore Luffy's actor for a moment, then she's easily the perfect cast made in heaven, truly.
I knew they were going to have to make the snails look reals, but I wasn't expecting it to be that bad. And thank you for telling me about Emily Rudd, she was absolutely amazing.
He really does extrude Luffy energy 😂 I love the spin they took on the story, it really did it’s job in bringing more people into the One piece world and making them fall in love with the characters. Ps, your reactions are amazing! I feel like I’m experiencing it all over again for the first time. Thanks!

The actors playing Zoro and Sanji could make me switch teams. That wanting to be adopted by Yasopp thing is something I'd mention to my therapist, though.
