I really enjoy watching your videos. You are very thorough in your tutorials. In fact it’s been your videos that’s helped me with mod podging ink jet printed images. Sealing them is very doable and it saves a lot of money to not have to repeatedly purchase the printed rice papers that are very expensive because they’re imported from Europe. I don’t mind purchasing some of them but I’m still new at decoupage and in fact messed up the very first purchased rice paper image I decoupaged onto an egg. 😩🤦🏻♀️
The decoupage part turned out fine, but when I put the gloss glaze on top, it dried cloudy and ruined the entire thing. 🤦🏻♀️😖
Luckily these items are for me personally & because I am new at it & was afraid I’d mess the images up, I photocopied them first before I used them. Thankfully so, because in order to save the project I had to use the photocopy of the same image. I was really afraid it would run because it was inkjet printed. But because I had watched you seal yours, I felt like I had nothing to lose, tried it, and it worked. 😇🎉
Even though I’ll continue to purchase the rice paper printed images, I now plan to photocopy all of them first and use the photocopy to practice & get better. Then I’ll still have the originals to use after I’m confident the supplies I’m using will work. 😊🤷🏻♀️
Also, I found a large plastic egg while I was out shopping the other day and I grabbed it up quickly because it was the last one. 😂 I can’t wait to follow your tutorial for the decoupaged “porcelain” egg. 😎🤗
Thanks so much for all of the inspiration as well as your amazing tutorials so others can learn how to do this type of art too. I find it very therapeutic & refreshing to the mind & soul when I’m working on these, especially when the end result is nice. 😊👍🏻🫶🏻

I’ve tried a lot of glues. Elmer’s, clear art glue, Krazy Glue, now I’ve fallen in love with wood glue. I think I bought out the store on that. Tacky glue never liked and rubber cement was a mistake. It actually crystalized in the can. Glue is fascinating in itself how some glue works better than others. I won’t use a glue gun or hot glue. Years ago I was working on a project at work and we had glue guns with metal tips and the person I was with touched me on the arm with the hot glue gun tip and got burned badly.
I don't use really hot glue . Yes, wood glue works for me perfect. UHU is ideal for gluing ornaments , dry quickly and glue very well . I am using MOD PODGE only for gluing napkins , sealing printed images.

How long have you been doing art? I started what I’m doing now in 1997. Went through many phases. It was 1994 that I tried hook rugs. It bored me so I do what I do now. What gives you your ideas? Animal stickers give me ideas and when I go to my craft place during a certain time of year, say Halloween or Christmas that stuff gives me the idea.
This kind of are I started maybe 2 years ago , before I was busy with laser engraving machine. What gives me my ideas ? I don't know . Still something new comes in my my head . I have already a new idea ... I will make a flower vase from plastic bottle . Next week you will see 🙂
@@anton_craft_diy only two years ago? It’s taken me 25 years to make things look decent. I’m a slow learner. 🤣 I look forward to seeing your flower vase. Yeah I’m like that too. Something new comes to me, I gather what I need and the idea develops as I do it. Sometimes I’ll change colors.
