    Thanks so much for your video! I have an older model as well, from a garage sale, that I'm trying to figure out. This is the only video that features what looks like the same machine!
    Blades are my issue as the one that was in it has holes at each end, but the package they gave me has pinned blades (which obviously aren't doing me any good)
    I'll watch more of your videos and look up the recommended blades!
    Thanks again!
    My research has me thinking I have the 2005 - type 1 - 16" - sm600 - variable speed
    I built a badass little table with additional tilt just for this machine and want to see what magic I can make on it!!
    Appreciate you!

    Could not find your Scroller catalog. Found Whitfield catalog that is for sale but I am not sure it is the same as you have mentioned.

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Před rokem

      It does seem that the "Scroller Catalogs" Have merged with the Winfield collection but, it also seems that all of the patterns and Sharktooth blades carried over as well

  • @soldier4christsoldier4chri90

    My saw stopped working. Now it only hums. If I spin the shaft or press down on the top arm it will start working, but it only operates at half speed. Any ideas? There are no brushes. But it looks like a capacitor a switch, and a motor.

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Před rokem

      Hard to tell with these older machines but, id agree with the capacitor or maybe the motor
      is clogged with sawdust and need a blow out?

    Need to see how to add foot pedal and what blades go for what cuts.

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Před 3 lety +1

      Foot Pedal just plugs into power cable and into a wall socket. My stand by blades for most projects is a #5 reverse tooth blade

    Good tips that I can use. If you are ever able to upgrade to a 19" Dewalt you will think that you have died and gone to heaven, You do great work so don't feel insulted.

    I was using my left nut-ball and hyperventilating wood-dust away.
    Tennis ball seems more efficient, and less torture to me nether-regions.

    Dude you arent lubricating a damn thing. If you'd looked at the online owner's manual,you would have realized that all you were doing was lubricating the screw holes for the side cover. Those upper and lower oil points in the middle of the machine are bronze bearings. See how they're both nut faces? You've got to take a ratchet and back those out. Then you clean the shafts of any buildup,put a few drops of machine oil on them and reinstall them so that the porous bronze can absorb the oil and keep the bearing lubricated.

    • @ArtisanPirate
      @ArtisanPirate  Před 3 lety +1

      Please no cussing on my comments.... also I assure you this is how I've lubricated the saw for years and have never had an issue
