disappointment, sadness and rage
I don’t really believe about her being Asmoday, but here are my too 2 theories. The first one is…what if Paimon would sacrifice herself for us at the end? Paimon once said “What if we got separated? No, no, we woudlh’t get separated! Right?” Along those lines when she said about separation, it just brought suspicion. And during a quest, she once said “If we find your twin, we could go get a home to live in” it was very suspicious…and the other suspicious thing is about MiHoYo’s other games, such as Honkai Impact the 3rd and Honkai Star Rail. What I noticed is they have a similar story. Paimon lost her memories, Kiana did, and some pink-haired girl from Star Rail did too, and they wanted to travel the stars. And last but not least, the LORE. Kiana confronted her alter ego who was very similar to Asmoday, but let’s call her The Herrscher of Void. During the fight, she had to attack her friends without her will. The Herrscher had won, and Kiana was labeled missing. So what if Paimon would suffer the same fate? What if Asmoday was her alter ego? You might say “Why would such a game be connected?” Well, take Star Rail as an example, when you try to cross the borders, it would say “Suddenly, a female voice popped in your head ‘why don’t we explore the area ahead of us later?’” AND the anime the Genshin Developer took inspiration from, there was a certain thing…it was a star-like cross. It could be seen on Paimon’s head too. In the anime, the star-like crosses seem to resemble…destruction. And the second theory is by Wei, who theorizes that Paimon may be the Primordial one. I will not be elaborating on how because I have no clue how to explain, but just search it up.

Imagine if paimon was fragment piece of the god of time istaroth(i think thats the name) but she doesnt remember at the beggining, but as they come close to finishing their travels she realizes who she is and sets on helping the traveller cause after witnessing the travellers strength and maybe finding out travleer once had the lement of light she thinks traveler moght be vale to help her against the invaders; asmoday. She also looks like an evil god OR asmoday could be ppimons twin or other self like we saw with fischl.

(I have a theory that paimon and asmoday are twins and asmoday were the celestia queen but when she want to destroy khaenriah paimon doesn't allowed it but asmoday convince her that it's for the teyvat safety and when asmoday fight the twins paimon did't know until not long after the players wakes up she found out and fight asmoday for the throne so that she can fix the mess but she lost and got kicked out into the sea when the players were fishing)
