Cybersecurity job is no joke, long hours and panic mode always activated, no real leave (due to nature of job) entry barrier is very high, nobody wants fresher, first 4 years are underpaid... Only passionate ppl can survive.

@@thymos6575 even ceh can land you in job but initial salary is not good and panic mode especially in blue teams become unbearable due to initial response policy that is usually within 10 min expected... Corporate cybersecurity job is much different from learning at home... You will be expected to have knowledge of office suits communication client handling etc. But it's good if you love such kind of work.

With inflation currently at about 6%, my primary concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.

But yeah knowing such things can be beneficial to some extent within this field. (For those who may wonder what information security is so basically cybersecurity comes under Information Security)
