That's still an I love you of sorts to me, and something that even now, after coming out and transitioning, I do every time a drop a girl off. This was probably one of the few pieces of life advice my mom ever gave me that wasn't completely toxic.

I left her with one of my homecare clients because I ended up homeless for a while... But when I got a new home and went to retrieve her, I had found my former client had passed away. And Shadow was missing... the only words I have hope with is her sister 'took her in.' I still have a video of little Shadow... the last time I saw her. I hope she's doing okay.
