I don't know if it will wreck the game itself, but yeah, don't catch it. After that I just used it to duplicate Masterballs, TMs and Rare Candies. A full team of Earthquake users in gen 1 was awesome.
This glitch looks like it would be super easy to fix with a script editor (Looks to be calling a LASTRESULT variable, where it should be using a bufferpokemon command, or even just a simple "obtained a TENRY" message). Still a really interesting effect, and it makes me wonder how the script got corrupted that way in the first place.

reminds me of a romhack that gave me a *ROTOM* (it probably replaced castform) and it was actually stable. Contests work, quirky nature, nothing wrong at all, heck, its BROKEN! It recieves exp insanely quick and obliterates any pokemon in its way. (well, if its not a type disadvantage) Sadly the romhack mainly reskins the pokemon so the rorom has no proper sprite and cannot transform at all

Hey,I saw a very similar glitch in another GBA Rom Hack,Pokemon Sinnoh Legacy (kinda like a GBA hack of Pokemon Platinum,but still different than the original. I call it "The Poisoned Pachirisu" because I caught a Pachirisu some time before I encountered this glitch,however,it has nothing to do with him. If you heal your Pokemon at the Pokemon Center in Floaroma Town,magic may happen. Not just that. There have also been reported cases of: -Music crash. If you check your Pokemon in Hearthrome City,Eterna City or Oreburgh City,a sound from the town music may start to loop over and over again. In order for it to stopyou'd have to save and reset (doesn't affect actual gameplay) -Bad Egg #2 (If you check an egg's status,the game will crash) -Restarting the game/plot (After you manage to get to Eterna City,go back on Route 201 and select Rowan's suitcase. The tutorial plot will restart,except that the other characters are all invisible.) This game has a buttload of glitches.

But voyager has a funny glitch (it's still beta) that works similar to that multicolor crash. If you check the status of the pokemon during a fight in the cave you got stuck in due to an earthquake, you'll sometimes crash exactly like that.

Dear god... For my birthday my friend gave me a GBA & Pkmn Emerald, but the GBA was so broken and old I never made it past Elm's intro. When it got to the van scene, 1 of 3 things would happen: 1. The screen would go black and the van noise would play endlessly, forcing me to shut off the GBA. 2The same as above but with the van noise looping endlessly. 3. The screen would go black and play the exact same sound that plays at 2:09. The EXACT SAME NOISE.
Hey, I've experienced that crash before while playing other ROM hacks. I can be playing a ROM hack like Flora Sky, and I'd go into a Pokémon Center to heal my Pokémon. When I'd talk to the nurse and say "yes", instead of her healing my Pokémon, the game may just crash in the exact same fashion as shown in the video, with the flashing Earthbound Moon Side-like graphics. It's so weird. It's making me not want to play Flora Sky.
About 4 months ago. But my friend handed it down to me from back when he owned it, god knows how long it's been since the game was actually made. I'm not sure whether it's a problem with the GBA or the Cartridge anymore, because the cartridge worked just fine when my friend had it, but it didn't work when I put it in a normal DS at Gamestop. On another note, yeah, #1 was a typo. I meant no noise at all, I must've screwed up when I was shortening the comment to make it fit the character limit :P
