- Finally took the kids to Griffith Park for their pony rides and petting zoo. It's a super deal with 2 laps around the track for only $5!! (max 4 per day per child) The wait was long and exhausting but it's worth it if you buy the maximum. It was our first time there so I only bought 1 for each of my kids in case they didn't like it. Turns out they liked it so next time we will buy more. The ticket line is separate from all the lines for the rides and each size horse has its own line.

Awesome video, really nice content!
Why does the guy need to chase the ponies? If they want to go fast, they will do it on their own!
Not Really. Sometimes Your Horse wont Want to Run when you ask them so you make them.
I’m a horse owner and I’m glad they shut down the pony rides. I would never keep my horse in these conditions!
I, own horses, and have been riding for over sixty years. My first experience riding a horse was at the Pony Ride in Griffith Park, back in 1962. Horse back riding is a great part of California's history, and having the opportunity to ride a pony is a great introduction to learning and appreciating them, and their connectiveness to the outdoor. The mistreatment of these ponies has been overly exaggerated. This has something more to do with money, and wanting the land for a more lucrative venue. Next, the train will be going. Just wait
And what condition is that?
oh my the mini ponys pen is so small that is like horse abuse poor pony
That’s true but I’m glad they only have short hours for the rides and the horses take turns and have breaks in between
Oh wait.. u mean the one at the petting zoo? Yes that one was very small!! I hope they give him time outside for walks.. it looked sad 😔
@@VLOGnSHARE this place abuses their animals. Look how sad all these ponies are. Please don't support this business for a $5 ride on the enslaved ponies backs. Take your kids to a sanctuary like Kindred Spirits Care Farm or Gentle Barn where animals are taken care of not exploited for money. Watch this video I made about this place czcams.com/video/O3vkooqMbsE/video.html
Is this in the Bay Area?
No, this is in Griffith Park (Los Angeles)
Horrible display of animal exploitation. This is slavery.
Do see anyone in shackles? Chained to the ground? Looking like they've not been fed in a week?
@@MeMeDaVinci Clearly you don't know what exploitation means.
@@LLawliet-pz1rm Clearly you don't know what slavery means. Apparently you don't know anything about U.S. history or the role that horses play in it. When you do about three or four years worth of research come back... Don't forget the time that they came over on ships when the Spaniards brought them, how the native Americans trained them to survive long-distance travel in all kinds of weather, and the stagecoach passages that went all the way from the east coast to the Pacific starting in the mid 1800s, and oh don't forget the Pony Express...all the way to them being trained for modern horse racing. And you're talking about a few well-kept ponies so children can enjoy an afternoon with their parents while they ride and learn about the animals. Yeah, exploitation. Why do you think that the French call a train a chemin de fer, and motorcycle enthusiasts call their ride a steel horse. Yeah you got a lot of catching up to do.
@@MeMeDaVinci You are clearly a human supremacist and see animals as mere objects.
@@LLawliet-pz1rm Quite the opposite. I see you are clearly a human stupidist that sees history in a different way because you don't want to research the truth. Your way or the high way. Get it? High way, not highway. Right?
It's a sad commentary when a bunch of troubled activists can sway a group of people to close down a tradition after 74 years in three weeks. Pretty soon children will only be seeing pictures of horses not in books even but on the internet and saying, "Mom how come there are no horses, where have they gone? How big were they, were there different kinds of horses? What did they eat? Where did they live? Could you ride them? Too bad I can't see them in person I'd really like to. I wish I could have when they were around."
