I ride a lot and so I clean my bike a lot. I always get called out at the start of a ride for having a bike that looks like it doesn't get ridden. I just tell people that I actually look after it.
Best advice: just don't care what others think. Do I need a 15k bike? Hell, no. Did I buy one anyway as a 45th birthday present to myself? Sure did. And now, one year later, it still looks new despite logging almost 12,000 km to this point.
Just trade it in for mine..guaranteed to be full of everything a mountain is made of. You can't even read the schwalbe logo because of all the dirt. I'll leave the zip tied light + cardboard mudguard on for authenticity. Guaranteed eye catcher

The real biker brings a clean bike to every ride
Great advice, I took a hammer a put a few cracks in my carbon frame for authenticity
I guess people never grow up these days, focusing on looking cool and making tik tok videos 😅
In the motorcycle world we call these types of bikes Harley Davidsons.
That’s not a yeti😂
As a poor person….keep your bike clean. It lasts longer. Maybe you can’t afford $3000 for a new one. Cheers 🍻
Here's one way not to get made fun of, don't ride a electric motorcycles around bicycles.
A dentist would be wearing a full face helmet for real
I would rather have people look at me as a poser than scratch a several thousand dollar bik.
as a dentist, it really hurts...
Or just wipe your tears with 100 dollar bills.

Seeing him smashing the bike with a rock physically hurt me.
I don’t know about the scratching part😂
I'm a detailer....that bike will be CLEAN before it goes back in the garage.
you have to crash on purpose and fully commit
It hurts my heart to see the scratches on this innocent child
