THANK YOU! omg I've gone through so many long tutorials to find this one 😂 So straight forward haha
Hi Carrie
So glad this video helped. I hope it results in some awesome photos for you.
If you have other suggestions for lessons, I'm interested to know what they are.
Terrance
Thank you for this simple and great advice.
Great videos! Straight to the point! Thank you!
Thanks Terrance. Very helpful
Hi Rhys
I’m glad the video helped you.
Terrance
Super helpful, thx ! Question for you tho.. Which shooting/camera mode do you usually operate the camera under, when the flash w/ ETTL mode is on ? Manual ? Aperture Priority ? Auto ?
Do you prefer the 24-105 or the 24-70 more? I know this has been 5 years and understand things may have changed.
Which setting do you use in your camera when shooting with a flash?
The white cup is for covering wide angles with light, not for diffusing the light in normal distance. I think you confuse the ttl communication that way.
So i already have this speedlite, and I plan on upgrading my camera body. Will my speedlite still be usable with an 80D?
all is great!
Thanks!
thank you much
Mine is just blinking alot...maybe its like pairing any advise?
Hi Terrance tks for the info. I'm also looking for info on how to turn off any group of flash via 5D mk2 in camera menu. Also which group the flash that sits on the hot shoe belongs to Thank you
Hi there. I'm not a guru with the flash menu, but let me give my quick assessment of whee I think you need to do this.
In the menu screen, go to the 7th menu category (it is the last icon with a wrench and is yellow).
Go to External SpeedLite Control
Go to Flash Function Settings
Go to Wireless Set
For Wireless Func., Enable this feature.
Go to Firing Group. You can select
- A + B + C (all three groups firing at once)
- A:B (A and B flashes fire as per the A:B Flash Ratio you set)
- A:B C, similar as A:B, but sets flash C as exposure compensation
So by doing this, you will have some control over your slave flashes.
However, I've never actually set a group on or off from here.
Hopefully this leads you in the right direction.
yes That's the only option i have for now --Thank you
No worries. Sorry I could not be more help. Have you tried strobist.blogspot.ca ? He is one of the gurus of flash out there.
good place will give it a shot Tks again
Does it work with canon 250d
Yes it does.
If people have this camera and flash and don’t know how to do what you have covered in this tutorial then all I can say is that they shouldn’t have bought it in the first place. Basic isn’t the word.
I have it and this is useful bought my mkiii used and had my 580exii sitting in my bag decades...just be nice
you talk to much
