That shot was behind the guts. Mans is lucky it was a lethal but not ethical IMO. Deer didn't go far but he definitely suffered. Despite that congratulations
The quartering away angle helped a lot. Deer only went 100 yards on a dead run. Not much suffering.
@@TheDeerSociety hunter was sitting to the left of the camera and camera man so it doesn't seem to be a quartering shot. But angles are not depicted properly either so I'm probably dead wrong. Either way awesome buck. And as I said congratulations to him! Appreciate all the good insight, information, and knowledge I gain from watching you guys so thank you! Good luck with the pre rut and rest of the season. I'm still waiting on a new cam for my V3 haven't been out since the 7th... Least I didn't have to sit through the lull and didn't spook deer off the farm I hunt im southern Indiana! Swear where I hunt looks just like Iowa

That was a terrible shot! You have to own it as a hunter. Just because you recovered the deer doesn't make it a great shot.. I can't believe the people defending this. I own my bad shots!

Just say it wasn’t a good shot, and that happens sometimes in bow hunting. But to sit there and tell people it was a “good shot” is wild. Lol. We have eyeballs, it’s on film. He probably hit the artery that runs up there and that’s why he died fast. Not because it was a good shot

I enjoy the heck out of the videos from deer society but it’s getting more and more like a TV show with infomercials about their products and less and less educational
BIG fan of the show and the way it's produced and engineered with how in depth everyone goes with their stories.... BUT, this one. Next time instead of saying "he was never really on my radar in the years past because he just wasn't big enough"...jus say what everyone else does, "we wanna let him get more mature and see what he can turn into." Then saying "a deer of a lifetime for some people"....bud, I think you meant to say, "MOST people." Or EVERYONE who doesnt hunt farms. That is an absolutely beautiful buck, farm or not and its getting played like "ahh, i mean he's alright, but he isn't anything special." Again, i get it, you guys knock down anything from 180" to 23"+ MONSTERS....it just sounds kinda ignorant, all im saying. NOW, with that being said, i absolutely ENVY you guys!!! I would do anything just to SEE one of those studs in person!! Keep the content coming cause there isn't many hunting shows or content out there like this!!!🍻🍻🍻
