In this video we have Benchmark Top Floor going against Four roses and Elijah Craig going against benchmark Single Barrel. Can you guess which two move forward? To be sure watch and find out. For me, the 100 proof Old Grand-Dad has the best after effects, and the 90 proof Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey improves my sleep. Less about taste for me.
I do like Benchmark but I feel it is inconsistent. You may have just found a really good single barrel. Seems like both of the second two would have beaten the first two.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the Benchmarks. What’s your favorite bottle out of the benchmark lineup?
@@thekychew probably the Full Proof as it gives me the cheaper version of Stagg which I have never had but based on this one I think I would really love it. Also it gives more alcohol for the buck so it’s a quality mixer.
I’m not a big BT guy but I do like the Benchmark single barrel I’ve had a few bottles of it and they have all been good. I don’t buy any bottles under 90 proof just not what I’m looking for in whiskey. In fact I only have two bottles at this proof point. Everything else is 100+ and most are in the 115 and up. I want to see the Old Tub review and tasting it’s a JB product that I haven’t tried yet and I’ve seen very varied reviews on it. It like all bottles you either like it or you don’t. But for the price it’s like 15 in my area so why not. Enjoy!!

I'm not a fan of four roses.
This particular bottle I am not either. I have had some single barrel store picks I like but for the most part I have not tried many of their products.
