Do you think covering them with shade cloth will help or do you just wait until it cools off some and replant?
I removed my last 3 today. Like you I did not see the nymph or eggs, just notice the fruit kept frizzing out then came out next day a different plant was leaning over. ..I knew then I had been struck. Then the next day day other plant I saw then frass. I just pulled them out and trashed them. Dropped 4 more zuc seeds today. Keep up posted.

Hey Ursula, I hate to see those pesky things got to you. This is my first year growing mines and I have them covered because I’m petrified to have this happen to mines. However, I did test 3 plants outside of the netting and now I may need to be proactive before they strike. I hope you kick their little butts and save your squash baby! ♥️

I hope your plants don't get a squash bug visit but watch them for those little red/brown eggs. I plan on injecting the rest of the plants with BT and hope it works on all of them. Enjoy your day.

Hi Ursula, I watched a channel last year and the lady injected weekly to all her squash she said it protected them and kill them if they git in. I never seen anyone else do it. I hope it works. Check the small squash u had on the vine, it looked like it had eggs on it. I’ve been going out there inspecting daily. Found one leaf with two sets of eggs layer. I cut it off and burned it

I looked out this morning and the plant is still standing strong so I am hoping it worked. It's been raining here daily so I haven't checked the plants since I made the video but I plan on injecting all of them with the BT just in case I did miss an egg or 2. I had to smile at your comment of burning the eggs you found on the leaf, that was smart and I will do the same. Thanks, enjoy your day.
I think I have one in my squash plant, I scraped it good sprayed with seven and covered it, so far so good, gonna cover stem with aluminum foil it detures them 😊🌺

I went to several pharmacies looking for a syringe with a needle. They all looked at me like I was crazy!🤣 the pharmacist said she couldn’t sell me one.
Hey @carleanr4051, I was having trouble finding a syringe as well but I explained to the pharmacist what I needed it for and she sold it to me for 1 dollar. I've hear you can purchase them at tractor supply or order it online. If it's an emergency, purchase something like a cheap turkey injector, that was going to be next if I couldn't find one. I wish you well it didn’t work for me. Another thing you need to know about that product is that if you want to use it again next year it needs to be stored in a cool place because if it’s in a hot place, it loses the potent in it, and it will not work, so it has to be stored in a place in a cool place I didn’t do that this year I could’ve but I didn’t. I have a lot going on. We had some of that storm damage and they were checking the leaves, but they went straight for the steam and I didn’t notice till it was too late. I’ve already had to pullout three plants looks like they’re gonna give me some zucchinis, but I have so much failure in that store storage room, hot or garage. It’s hot. It has to be a cool place because if not, you’ll lose the pot Medicine it will it will you will go through the process and it may not work because it was stored in a hot place.
