Today i will be unboxing the Weber baby q saucepan and trivet, how good is the weber baby q saucepan. Is the weber baby q saucepan worth the money
The Weber Q 1200 heats up fast and grills quickly and evenly. It has porcelain-enamelled cast iron cooking grates that are a delight to cook on because they are non-stick, super easy to clean and maintain, and can even go in the dishwasher. The Q 1200 has a sweet, handy thermometer, and its 189 sq in of grilling space holds a surprisingly large amount of food. The Q would do well on your tailgate, on a picnic table, on your apartment patio, or as part of your RV setup. You do have to carry it in hand, and it is not super light. If you want a grill that is easy to cook on, easy to clean, and simple to light and maintain temperature control with, the Q could be the one for you
The Weber Q 1200 is a strong contender. Service, sales, and parts are widely available for this popular brand. Our experience with the Q 1200 was largely favourable.
You should certainly consider the Weber.
The Q 1200 has one stainless steel burner tube that delivers a claimed 8,500 BTU's. It heats up quickly, cooks evenly and leaves beautiful char marks. Cooking time on this grill was less than expected for such a small product.
Control
The Q 1200 makes grilling simple and fun. Its push-button electronic ignition starts with just one press of the button every time. It has an infinite control burner valve that allows the flame to be adjusted to clear low, medium and high settings, and the built-in temperature gauge allows for even greater temperature control. This grill does cool down quickly when the lid is open though, so when you're doing your flipping, make it quick. The regulator is attached snugly, and the grease trap is large, easy to take on and off, and comes with a disposable (or reusable) aluminum insert.
At 31 pounds, this is heavy for a tabletop grill.
This grill has a cast aluminum lid and body which means no rusting or flexing, and a glass-reinforced nylon frame. This grill is sturdy and durable and will likely last a very long time.
This grill is simple to transport. You can grab it and put it in your boot and then place it on a picnic bench which is simple enough, but you do have to carry it in hand (vs. rolling something like the cart style grills in our test). It is closer to average weight., but that's including the rolling, cart style stand-alone versions we tested as well.
Weight is not an issue will the baby q.
The Q1200 runs off a 9kg Bottle of propane giving you over 45 hours of cooking time.
The Q's side tables fold inside for travel effortlessly, but you will want to make sure that it's completely cool before you do so as they are made out of plastic and could melt. We wish this model came with a latch on the lid. The lid is heavy, so it doesn't do much moving around, but if you're going four-wheeling to get to your BBQ site, consider using a bungee cord.
Cooking Area
This product has 189 square inches of grilling space on top of porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates. Did we mention how much we love the porcelain-enamel? It's the bomb. It's a breeze to clean with a grill brush or a sponge and soapy water. It can even be put in the dishwasher. It's also dreamy to grill on and wonderfully non-stick. No worrying about non-stick sprays or oiling of cast iron - it will never rust. But don't use a metal or wire brush to clean it or you'll ruin the surface. Use a soft bristle or nylon brush.
The Q also has some pretty snazzy side tables which at first we didn't think were a super bonus because after all, it is a tabletop grill. I have used it tailgating you'll find it comes in handy. If your tailgate then you'll find them useful as well.

Hi I am so confuse with your video. You had one that shows the weber family ware frying and casrole set which had the trivet included. Now when I am searching for that video. I saw the baby one that include the trivet where the pan sit on the weber. I would like to buy the family pan and casrole set with the trivet.

Is there a temperature limit for the lids? The smaller pot lid looks like the handle is plastic.
The handle on lid is coated in silicone like outside lid seal.
It does get hot but doesn’t melt . 👍🔔
I'm only seeing this trivet advertised for the baby q, does it fit the bigger Weber q or is there something g similar sold ?

To be very honest, I leave the trivet in the Weber permanently. That way it’s just always there when I need it. Haven’t noticed it causing any issues.
Just the grease build Up I was worried about . Especially around the burner tube . Where the trivet is . I lll see how I go over coming months and follow up review 👍👍
Can you just use a normal pot on the grill? Just need to be careful of any plastic handles I guess
You can , which i have done before , now i just use this weber pot when camping
How long does it take to get the water boiling though with such little flame?
About 2 - 3 mins same as a Kettle works really well as base has heat retention pattern like all qware products 👍🔔

Can’t you just cook with the saucepan on the grill plates? Why is the trivet stand necessary?
Maybe that would work but I think the trivet is meant to get the pot closer to the flame.
Can you leave the handle on throughout?
No the handle will get to hit . that’s why it’s removable . The lid is fine to leave on .Hope this helps 👍🔔 not to miss new reviews and recipes

@@WeberEnthusiast ,, okay, I relented. I bought the sauce and trivet. The trivet alone is a game changer. I can place a frying pan and kettle directly on the trivet. I also have a heavy aluminium baking pan that fits perfectly 'inside' the Baby Q. Doing a roast chicken dinner tonight.
No, it's really pathetic attempt to sell more pans. Most of us already have saucepans. I'm going to buy one, make them myself to sell if they don't sell them separately shortly. I'm really pissed off about it. Such a simple item to make
