Volvo tech tool is a software used for inspection, test, calibration, diagnostics and programming on volvo trucks.
This software from Volvo tech tool is installed on laptops whose specifications are sufficient or qualified.
To perform an Engine Inspection Program (PPM) on a Volvo truck, we can use the Volvo Tech Tool.
So we can do Programming, Calibrations, Test and Diagnostics.
In this video, I will discuss how to perform a "Cylinder Compression Test" using the "Volvo Tech Tool (VTT)" or so-called "PREMIUM TECH TOOL (PTT)"
The purpose of the "Cylinder Compression Test" is to find out if there is a compression leak in the "Engine" in each cylinder.
NOTE: Check "Cylinder Compression Test", the results will be maximum if done at the engine working temperature.
the reading of the "Cylinder Compression Test" results on the "Premium Tech Tool" is as follows:
1. If the BAR or bar chart is GREEN (80% and above) then the cylinder is still in good condition
2. If the BAR or bar chart is RED (80% down) then the cylinder is an indication of compression leakage.
In the "Cylinder Compression Test" process, there are 2 sensors that are used to read the results:
1. Camshaft Sensor, reads the position of the cylinder which is in the compression stroke
2. Flywheel Sensor, reads the movement of the piston as it moves from "Lower Dead Point" to "Upper Dead Point"
The reading from the two sensors will be calculated by the "Electronic Engine Control Unit" and will be displayed on the "Volvo Tech Tool"

In this video, I will discuss how to do an "Accelerator Pedal Test" using the "Volvo Tech Tool (VTT)" or so-called "PREMIUM TECH TOOL (PTT)" on a Volvo Trucks FMX 440
The purpose of "Accelerator Pedal Test" is to check the condition of the "Accelerator Pedal", is it still good or not ??
In the "Accelerator Pedal Test" there are 2 checks carried out:
1.IDLe Switch 1 (will activate when the Accelerator Pedal is stepped on about 8 - 13%)
2. Accelerator Pedal Position (when the Accelerator Pedal is fully stepped on, then the graph must show 100%)

In this video, I will discuss how to do a "Cylinder Balancing Test" using the "Volvo Tech Tool (VTT)" or so-called "PREMIUM TECH TOOL (PTT)" on a Volvo Truck FM 440
The reading of the "Cylinder Balancing Test" results on the "Premium Tech Tool" is as follows:
If the BAR or bar chart is RED (80% up or down) then the cylinder is an indication of damage.
