My first week of class at Chapel Hill was 40-years ago. When you are young you feel like your future life is so far away... but time is one smooth continuum. My first class feels like yesterday. My heart is still there, walking on the brick pathways past the Old Well to Franklin Street on those cold autumn nights that make you feel that time has stopped just for you. The magic in life comes from the knowledge that everything is temporary, both the pleasure and the pain. They will both be heightened there. Enjoy your time.

I’m geeked at the part where the girls crying and saying she’s not cut out for college. I go to UNC too, i’m a sophomore and I just wanna say it does get easier. freshman year is such an adjustment period but you get the hang of things. UNC is hard af, that doesn’t change lmao but you get better at managing it all. hang in there, and enjoy the Ag; that’s the one thing I miss about gvegas.

9:05am is so late... First period starts at 7:45am at my uni and I had a first period class every single day in first year because I did 5 subjects.

I am really think about UNC, so I was just wondering how you got to bring your car? I toured and they said freshman could not mace motor vehicles, so I would love to know what you did to get your car.
Millie Garrett Granville Towers is a private dorm and allows a limited number of cars. It does cost I believe $1000 a year extra for parking.

Is there drinking culture in US universities? Here in the UK it’s literally just drinking and clubbing and then going to classes the next day hungover. Everything seems way more civilised in the US

I wouldn’t drop any classes, you’ll probably end up regretting it bc you’ll have to graduate late if you don’t get into a new class.
