Thank you so much for taking the time to make this and help us out!! I’ve actually wanted to order some NFC blanks but there website and number system is a little complicated. Also they don’t really have a description of the blanks or what the numbers mean. So thanks, now I can get a few. But anyway man, super helpful and thank you. Looking forward to some rod recipes!!
Thanks for all the info! Can you give us the guide positions for the SJ703-1 blank in a spinning setup? I can’t find it in NFC’s diode chart-Thanks again!
Your doing an awsome job with these video's sir... in my area people fish small streams for some good sized trout 7 ft rod is a deal breaker for most guys, would you consider cutting one down to a 6 footer?
Assuming I find a rod blank for bait casting that I absolutely love, could I could I also build a spinning rod out of an identical blank, or are there differences I need to consider?
Another question sir, say I find a 7' blank that fits the bill but in need it 6'-2" to 6'-6" since long rods are tough for wade fishing in Salt water. Does cutting it down alter the backbone or action?
Hey the 765 neo what’s ur absolute best recommendation for application on that blank I originally thought Carolina rig but after getting it I’m not sure there isn’t a better application
I love the 8351.90 blanks. Carolina rig, big swim baits, big jigs, and I use them for flipping. Mod fast action keeps from jarring a hole on a hookset close to the boat
Some guys love nfc other hate em due to quality issues n slow shipping for me personally I don't use em cause you never know what your getting alot of there rods don't have a detailed description or it won't list the weight of the blank too shady to be trusted

They are really good at building blanks, not so much at building websites. ..
Thank you great video I’ll be reaching out here soon for my and my sons first builds i really appreciate and enjoy your channel thanks again
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Great description on this issue.
Thanks G
Thanks for this information. I have a few NFC fly rods but am interested in your SJ 703 recipe - much appreciated sir.
Thanks for watching Ed.
What is the range of lure weights you can cast with the SJ703? Thank you@@fdxcustomrods

Yes, sir, I'll put it on video this week. Thanks for the idea.
Looks like you have a few hundred bucks on the floor behind you 😂😂😂
A few, but I've been doing this almost 20 years.

Absolutely, I cut 7 footers down all the time. I have a SJ 703 that I'm cutting to 6-4 in an upcoming video
Assuming I find a rod blank for bait casting that I absolutely love, could I could I also build a spinning rod out of an identical blank, or are there differences I need to consider?
I don't think it matters at all. If you find a blank you like build it spinning or casting. I do it all the time.
@fdxcustomrods Thanks! By the way, love your videos!

Nope, not at all. Most of the action is in the upper 1/3 of the blank. Look at the X-ray SJ 703-1 ML XF if you want a great lighter rod

Any experience with the NFC SB 682-1 and P700-1? I fish Texas inshore and the P700-1 looks right for bfs. The SB 682-1 looks good for a ML trout rod.
I've never used either. Look at the weight ratings closely. That should give you a good idea of performance .
Which spinning reel do you use with the SJ 703-1? Appreciate you.
Up to a 3000 size will work fine.
awsome content im, wanting to build a crankbait specific rod any suggestion thank
How heavy are the cranks you want to throw?
would u feel the mb-765 neo beig a good carolina rig rod
That looks like the ideal blank for a heavy Carolina rig.
Not familiar with bfs casting reel? Could you educate me? Thanks.
Trying to decide between casting and spinning reel on a SJ703. I use both.
Baitcasting Finese System - BFS. Reels like the Lews Custom Lite $300 and the KastKng Zephyr $75 are considered BFS reels. I have and like both.
@@fdxcustomrods Thanks
Do you coat the nfc rods with any varnish?
No. There is no reason to.
Great series. Any experience with the SJ803/4 series
I have not built on those blanks, YET... Thanks for watching

I'm sorry you feel that way. Other than the slow shipping, which I am aware of, I have had a great experience with NFC.
