When I think back to my Barbie and Sindy dolls from the 80's, I get cross at the way the new dolls have become cheap and disposable. I really can't believe they are charging £40.00 for these dolls. Melissa reviewed the this peel doll and really hated it too. Let's hope that the Monster High and Bratz deliver in terms of quality and playability.

40 pounds is around $80 in my country.... perspective - you could get 2x LOL OMG Series 1 for that (they went on sale for $40 each) - dolls with accessories, articulation and high fashion or 1x Rainbow High with $20 spare to buy a Barbie fashionista doll (and still have $5 to spare). I think the doll you got is cute, but you can pick up a lot of fantasy Barbie dolls like the one you opened for $30-40 each (15-20 pounds) in my country that are around the same quality.
When I was young I had “kid nail polish” that you would peel off just like this Barbie. I remember I loved to peel it off- too bad they don’t still have that for kids these days.
Do you follow the barbie style Instagram? I get so PISSED when they post beautifully designed dolls with quality outfits YET they won't produce them! I swear one of the dolls had a beautiful shadow root melt for her hair and it was GORGEOUS!
I got my Fashion Fun for Everyone Barbie in a wheelchair today and I LOVE her! Her articulation is perfect, she can actually use her chair, and I’m pretending her cute lemon slice bag is her colostomy bag cover 😁 Nothing but adoration, can’t wait til my Sainsbury’s gets more, and she was on offer!

I'm all for body positivity and not giving girls unrealistic body shapes but this old girl misses the more hourglass shape I grew up with. Also agree the current Barbies are getting cheap and nasty.

I agree- colour reveal dolls are not worth the money when for the same price I could buy two of the wheelchair barbies which are fully articulated. My kids love having dolls with articulated arms especially so that they can hold babies 😆
YES! I think the Barbie pets look like my littlest pet shop animals! I don't know how it's in the rest of the world, but in my country littlest pet shop animals are SUPER popular. Every kid and adult collects them i feel like. My guess is : Barbie also knows this, and she wants to join the game. xD

Also rather than the slime (!?!?!) and other pointless junk they should have included more items for the actual doll to wear. When I first saw a picture of the slime container on the packaging I thought it was a toilet for Barbie which is probably much more appropriate.
When I was a kid #JEM was the go to doll. The quality was out of this world. If you haven't heard of #JEM check them out . Jem was a singer and the misfits to collect. I have still got mine sadly in the loft in bits😢
This Peel dolls are weird, i prefer the dunk in water thing, it’s more cool But the doll itself is pretty, i really like the iridescent wings and the skirt, but obviously too cheap like every Color Reveal dolls

I LOVE the pets. I LOVE the water reveal. I probably won't buy this even though I love anything with wings, especially the fairy Barbies. P.S. your water probably want warm enough when you did the water reveal. I find it very soothing. Watch My World to see some good water reveal Barbies.
Ive stopped even attempting blindbox and gatcha altogether (not that I was really using them much anyway) unless 1: I would be happy with at LEAST 80% of the options and 2. If the gatcha is free in-game so I dont use real money. Ive had to pass up some cute figures just cause they were in blind boxes and I won't spend $12 on something when I may not even get what I want. Plus most blind box stuff looks incredibly cheap. You're literally just buying the experience of not knowing what you're buying. Instead, just fill a paper bag with random junk around your house, shake it up, and pull something out.
Hi!!!! Your videos are great! My children have the colour reveal ones you dip in water and they actually like the ones with just the ponytail because it’s less hair that becomes a big mess. But as an adult, my issue is with the fact that the rubber part of the hair and the ponytail are not the same exact colour, so it looks unrealistic. I also wish they didn’t have the painted on clothes and legs. Sometimes the reveal paint won’t come off or takes the painted clothes part off in areas with it. Plus all the water goes inside the doll and slowly drips out for awhile which is kind of gross! Barbie dolls with flat feet are rather limiting too because it drastically reduces the shoe styles they can wear. You can put on a very fancy evening gown and then only have the option of sneakers sometimes because they are the only flats the doll has. Annoying!
I think they could add some cool elements to this doll to make it more fun. Instead of slime and glitter for the slime, why not some hair product to pull through her hair that contains glitter and colour? Why don't they borrow from all their hair innovations from the 90s and Color Magic to make the doll more interesting? Being able to dye the doll's hair would be fun or turn the hair from blonde to pink, brunette to red, black to blue black. The hair should be more luxurious and come with more accessories because there's not much to do with the outfit. I was not a fan of the dated Coachella/Glasto look. It would be nice if the stars glowed in the dark like the Dream Glow dress or the child could get stickers to stick on the doll that mimicked tatts. There is only so much they can do because of production costs, but I definitely think Mattel need some new fashion designers. Even the Extra dolls seem a bit 2009 when bloggers like Susie Bubble became a thing and wearing outlandish outfits to LFW was the look.
Please don't put that glitter near your eyes! Glitter that is not specially formulated for eye use has very sharp edges if it gets into your eyeball it could cause damage. Btw, love your videos, and congrats on your new place!

As a kid I always used the petshops for my barbie dolls as pets. Since i never liked the pets by mattel.
I would never spent money on this ...these dolls are worthless too me(my opinion)
Yet they won Doll of the year in 2020. Not this type but the main color reveal so that's maybe why they continue the line.

Well, as I know in Ukraine where I live we can can these for 20-25 dollars. Or even cheaper if you find a good deal online.
