Cyberzone was the SPOT. Always got wild there. Their resident breaks djs always threw down. The release parties you mentioned were something special, but even those off nights where you just ended up going there because your other plans went tits up or every place else was close were just as fun. That turn of the century time period was full of great x and cool people. Always met cool people there.

Who else misses the period between mid 90's and like 2001? Me, thats who. Damn, i haent been to a real party since Whistle 3. I kinda grew up and got out of the scene. Still, the music makes my endorphins stand on end. Funky breaks are the shit and DJ Icey is the King of Funky Breaks. That makes him King Shit. I had this very set on a mixtape years and years ago. I was pumped when i found it on tube. The breaks between tracks suck because messes up my groove. Its still pretty awesome. I got it cranked on my home stereo and ive having a party all to myself. Only now i leave the real drugs alone. Good thing my neighbors are like a mile away. Cut a rug

I lived in West Palm Beach, FL. during that EXACT time period. I mostly went to "Chili Pepper" & club "Atlantis" in Ft. Lauderdale A LOT!! Also Club "3299" in Pompano Beach WAS THE SHIT!! I have seen d.j. Icey, Baby Anne, Rick West, d.j. infinity, d.j. Gumbee, Jackyl & Hyde(The Jackal), Tony Faline, Hudia Hudia, Dieselboy, AK1200, Eric Berretta plus MANY MANY more...too many to name. I was 21 in 2000 and I drank more water than alcohol that year if that tells you anything! MISS THOSE DAYS!! I remember hearing this EXACT mix at club 3299 in Pompano Beach, ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES!! Electro-Funky-Acid-House-Breaks RULE!! Between '98 & 2002 was the best era for this music...(I turned 21 Oct. 8th in '99, some of the best years of my life.) I used to go 3 cars deep with freinds every weekend almost, all of my freinds and I could break-dance REALLY well, being 37 now, those days are over! I still love the beats though!

How much did we enjoy the times, could you compare it to any other music event in history?? Not so sure they still felt the same way i do when i hear the music 20yrs later this was a very special powerful place in time.
I had a rare opportunity once and met dj icey when he was on tour. In a dark venue called the lizard lounge in Dallas TX I got in line for a signing/ meet n greet. I was about 19 and my turn was up. I just started pouring out about how I was so inspired by him and had experimented with break beats in Fruity Loops (now FL Studio) in a style similar to his. He just calmly grinned and said thats great and we posed for a photo my good friend Nicole was standing by to take. Later on an up and coming dj did the post set and was handing out vinyls at the booth. I kinda feel a little bad now, but I over reached this girl trying to grab one. Now one of my favorite albums to turn on my humble 1s & 2s all in memory of that night.
nice! thought I was thr only one that remembers the good ol' days at the Lizard Lounge. many good sets played there. saw The Crystal Method there when they were no bodies. good times, good drugs, and good memories.

For everybody asking what album this was and what year. The album was simply titled DJ Icey mixed. I remember the CD cuz I went to the mall it was 1997-98 I was just going into High School and it was an all purple album I'll never forget cuz I kind of got made fun of for having a purple cover...till I played this bad boy for 1st time at a party and it was an instant hit! This album got me through some of the best and worst times of my life. I have looked for almost 20 years to try to find it. Thank you so much. A shout out to my brother who was hit and killed by a car last year who also really enjoyed this music with me. R.I.P. Dustin J Sanders
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. How is it so hard to believe Icey named this album "Mixed".. It's rare. Out of print. Miss my actual CD collection dearly had over 5000.. Stolen by a kid named Tony Din####.

I live there, unless you are in Charlotte, it SUCKS!! I am in Wilmington. Moving back to Wilmington after living in West Palm Beach, FL. TOTALLY SUCKED!! I had to either go Charlotte or Myrtle Beach to have a good time after living in Florida b-tween '98-2002. It was just not the same...
yeah I'm 38 now. '98-2002 was my prime years for throwin down as much and as long as possible and Icey was fuel when I stayed between Cocoa - Ft. Lauderdale. I'm in the mountains of NC now but... Glory days

I’ll NEVER forget Icey’s set at Ultra2000 on South Beach. He basically played this entire album. It was right at sunset and EVERYONE took their x during that set. I remember thinking I was gonna have to leave and find a private hidden spot to drop my x and then I turn around and everyone near me has their pills out and they’re passing them out in the open. Was one of the best raves ever.
Amazing share the memories are still so fresh for me too (not same but very similar). Thanks for seeing past the space between tracks, YT copyright is strict. Was the best I could get away with at the time. I may re-upload this continuously mixed. Cheers
