It doesn't look like a drawing. It looks real.
Idk how to say this, but it doesn’t look imaginary it just looks more real than reality.
No way, this is incredible. This looks like a real picture that was taken by like an iPhone 90
That is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. I used to draw realistic animals so I know what you were talking about and just wow I can’t imagine the work that went into that, it’s beautiful. I’m happy it got you a lot of recognition because you sure do deserve it. It can be really frustrating being an artist.
this drawing looks better than my own eyesight.
but if your eyesight is bad, then you can’t see the detail in the drawing ... 🤔
Crest Raizn he might be trying to bait whoooosh’es? So uh, I’m just gonna r/wosh u haha funny hilarious;

This is the art that millionaire's should pay millions for... a draw that is truly beautiful and was made with dedication and hard work not some splash on a white board
Lol I’ve seen artist who just made squares and charges over millions for one piece crazy that people still buy them
@Joseph Eversman they mean that its more labourous to draw this versus a circle, which makes it more rare and should have more value.

Can we just take a minute to think about how underrated this channel is? It deserves way more than a million!
There's this guy. Meanwhile, in a land not too far away, a banana duct taped to a wall just sold for $120,000.
@ SKINNY BUDDHA BOY it was listed as $120,000. However i don’t think it was sold because I believe someone took it off the wall and ate it .... 😂
@@annonymous3632 Someone did indeed eat it (I think they ate it while it was still duct taped to the wall though with their face pressed up against the board that it was taped to, lol), but it did definitely sell before that. The man who ate it was another artist and it was all part of the act (of utterly talentless clowns).
SKINNY BUDDHA BOY nah he took it off the wall before he ate it. I saw a pic XDDD
This is so unbelievable that somebody can draw far more realistic picture then the real life itself! well done! huge respect
Talent like this should be rewarded in the millions... honestly
Thanks for opening up about struggles while drawing this masterpiece , your words inspired me , I wish you more and continued success.
This is awesome! I'm really happy that finishing the drawing was at least able to help you recover from the financial situation you were in. It's definitely an amazing piece of art, and I really hope you keep such great work up!
I see people doing anything in name of Art and getting millions of Views and here you are simply out of world! Why so underrated :0
Because the people with this ability are few and far between. He is an artist. People like him are artists. There might be, maybe 500 of them at a time in the world. If we were honest about what at is and who artists are imagine how crushed the wannabes would be. Imagine how defeated the American CIA would feel after spending billions to convince people splashing paint on a canvas is art would be.
because hyperrealism with a surreal twist is boring, pure show, no content, technical stuff, but the good stuff is somewhere else, let me give you the example of Baldomero Romero Ressendi, googla that shit, das the gud shit
@@Dawn24Michele
You don't seem to understand the concept of art, there are many different types of art/artists.
Just because you don't appreciate a particular style doesn't mean it's not art & there is most certainly a LOT more than 500 hyper realism artists in the world at a time.
Don't get mad that other forms of art are also appreciated highly, just respect the arts or move along. Why make shit up just to be a negative wank stain?
@@shakma_X I love hyperrealism. There are so many complicadet drawing techniques involved, that it always blow my mind, when I see a drawing like that. With mordern art, I don't know it feels like that a child done that.
There are levels of work and then there seems to be a portal some artists take to a whole new set of levels this exists outside all of those levels. It's so beautiful it's almost soul-crushing. Love it
This is the most detailed sketch I've ever witnessed from my own eyes. Props to you, you're talented 🙌✨
That one friend-
“Oh it’s not that good...”
I’m that friend but that’s bc the person who draws the art and makes it sees every flaw and might be frustrated at themselves or something like that
This drawing is more real than some of my friends.
@@alfiehind7577 ,if it's real,then I will be helpful
If it's not, then it will add to the joke.
👍☝️👉
Keep going I've just became a huge fan of yours! Your story was really inspiring and made me feel that I was not alone in those "soul-crushing" pain whenever I'm doing an artwork that takes months to finish. Thank you for the wonderful story.
Thank you so much for this video!
I made a huge charcoal drawing 2 years ago, realistic (not hyperrealistic like yours), but still - it took me so long. Drawing like this just feels like work, your eyes are swollen at the end of the day and you move in between centimeters all the time. After couple of hours, the progress is not in relation and you think : goood this is will be a long long run.
I can totally relate to that feeling and the result is rewarding! It's definitely an incredible drawing!
I had zero difficulty, hitting that like button. Realism at its finest.
This is the reason why I say “ no I’m not” when my friends say “ your so talented”
Laser Animations you can’t hold yourself to the same level as someone who has this much experience, you’re talented no matter how good others are. That’s like saying if you can only juggle 5 balls, but the world record holder can do 10 or 12 easily, then you’re bad, but you’re not, 5 balls is amazing, barley anyone can do that! So what you can’t be as good as him yet, you’re talented, and maybe one day, you’ll reach the 12 balls.
Leslie Scoren she I can reach my balls at least... Yes, I assumed her gender
Jono! I've just discovered you and your INCREDIBLE talent! It's such a proud feeling to see a fellow South African putting out world class art combined with excellent footage into the www. Thank you for sharing your background story and congratulations on completing Pupil. I hope you will continue to be recognised and richly rewarded!
I have a few pieces myself that I had to abandon for one reason or another. For me, knowing whether to come back and finish the piece or move on is answered by that instant gut feeling. I’m glad you finished this one, Jono. ...... I can only imagine the struggles you went through knowing it’s incredible potential
When you spent so much time talking about the negatives, and then ended with, "go for it". Even though it was hard, it was meaningful. Gives me the motivation to start something new and big
See you all in 4 years when CZcams’s algorithms recommends this again
Better leave a comment here to prove my future-self that you were right
Just a beautiful piece of work, and I recognise your frustration and despair over finishing your work. Many times I have to give up and then go back when refreshed and inspired to carry on with a different perspective. It must be very frustrating if you are totally financially dependent on your work. I wish you well and try not to get too frustrated, have complete breaks, walk in the countryside and refresh your mind!
Jono you are so humble and for that, I have the utmost respect. For your artwork there my vocabulary falters to express my appreciation for your talent. Please keep drawing and sharing. Thank you.
It’s official: we have a drawing that is more realistic than a photograph
To be fair we have endless hyper-realistic drawings, it isn’t that uncommon. The actual difficult part is the scale of this
It's a super common genre and actually in concept is a lot easier in my opinion than say something like professional level illustration. The only thing is the time it requires. It's not nearly as hard to more or less copy some things you see than it is to invent things you haven't seen.
According to him he did some SMALL WORKS on the side while drawing this..
I can't even think of making those small works that he did even if I tried for a life time .
This is taking the '12 year old middleschool girl draws single eye on paper' to a whole new level
I had no idea this is a thing. I thought only i was thinking about that! :D i am not crazy, yey
Inspirational level of skill and patience. Without artists like this we wouldn’t be able to understand what can be achieve with practise and determination. Makes me want to be a better artist and find ways to express myself and inspire others. Thank you
Man, all your drawings are incredible! The one you took the most was definitely awesome. Thanks for sharing and all the hard work you have done. You are amazing!
I'll come back again when this is recommended again in 5 years and it has millions of view
I can 100% identify with what you said about reward system. I only start to have fun drawing when I see that it's gonna turn out good. Huge respect for you to finish that massive drawing man.
Every video of yours fills me with lot of energy and encourages a lot. Thanks ALWAYS
I love that this drawing has so many layers to it. You have the stunning hyper realistic image it portrays, the meaning it carries (which most probably varies from person to person), the incredible amount of work it took, and the immense emotional and mental toll it took to make this. Your patience is admirable, if I had to stare at my own art for any more than a few days I’d go crazy, and I make geometric shit that isn’t even that artsy, not realistic stuff. Congratulations for making such an eye catching piece (sorry for the word play), with such an enormous input that you can see not only from the precision, but also just the general feel of it. It is unimaginably beautiful, I applaud you for your skill and care in all the art I’ve seen by you, especially this one.
Well I don’t know where to start. Your incredible descriptions are perfectly detailed while completely accessible. And your work .. I am awe struck and inspired. WoW ! 💫
That is awesome man glad you didn’t give up on that price it brightened up my day... it’s the kinda thing that I didn’t know I needed to see but now that I did I’m just in awe!!! Keep it up and thanks for making the world a more beautiful place to live.
ur the most crimininaly underatted artist youtuber in existence. You need more other people mentioning you. this isnt fair.
Just imagine he says it doesn’t look good... and he wants to *start over*
Bad mango Its so annoying sometimes. Cause’ even when i draw this happens. Its a curse haha. But its crazy, artists are very self destructive. So anyone can be one.
Only Artist knows when the things they do doesnt reach their expectation.People might find it amazing or perfect but its never enough for us.
I found this channel this morning, and I fell in love with your painting. Thank you for sharing this kind of beauty 🙏🙏
Thank god for people like you, incredible work. I just had to subscribe, thank you for sharing what you can do.
Ive never seen anyone who can draw the cell structures and membrane vessels like this. Its is like drawing textures in an atomic level that is really incredible.
I dont think i would of have the heart to sell this afterwars
tom kaz if you went through his living hell you wouldn’t. You become attached to things you’ve spent months drawing.
I've been a bit rusty from not drawing so much for quite some time and have come across some videos such as yours and all are giving me inspiration to start practicing again and I love watching how you put so much detail into each piece that I have used that to practice drawing pieces in a different way.
Beautiful work
@@JonoDry i think it's like writer's block for artists and if you aren't drawing regularly enough you kinda get stagnant and rusty but it never leaves you, you just need to find inspiration to help it along and I think that's what I did. I got stuck with daily life and my sewing that I wasn't drawing anymore so it's really nice when you come across people or pieces that bring that urge to draw back.
Thank you 😊
I have never had the opportunity to see your work until this very moment. I fell upon you and I so grateful I did... thank you for sharing.
What ticks me off is that there was a person who duck taped a banana to a wall and sold it for 12 grand. And there are people like this who work their ass off to create this beautiful art work and are under rated.
They're waiting for him to die so they can sell and profit off his work.
Nice. Time does not equals money. Creativity equals money in the art world. Thousands of artists today do this photorealistic style. From an analytical perspective this piece is very boring.
@@JohnnySins69XObut a banana duct taped to a wall is very creative and interesting , and definetly worth 120 grand .

alternate title: "i hated my existence for 2 years, here's why"
no joke, i had that thought when i worked on an artwork for only 2 months.
Hi!
I am a 14 year old “artist” and I (try) to make hyperrealism art. Its not great, nor is it as amazing as these pieces of yours. But i wanted to say that this inspired me in so many ways. It has given me this feeling of wanting to fulfill my dreams of becoming a artist, selling my art, grow my instagram following etc. And I want to thank you for that.
So.. thank you 🥰
Much love,
Lucinda
I am so mad this guy isn't super rich. Like his talent is beyond amazing..artists really need more gratitude..
Maudie Maude okay.. so then buy his art. I’m not bc I rlly don’t care about art and plus it’s probably really expensive
@@Jay-ye1up I agree about the artist pieces are sold for WAY too much, but I have to agree more about the high rappers
@@pineapple3555 I did check the price. It's about 600$ for a print. Which is very fine if you think about all the hours put into this work. But sadly I am not rich enough to afford this.
I'm upset that mediocre or downright inexperienced artists get millions apon millions of dollars and subs, but artists like him don't get what they truly deserve for their work
When you pour so much of yourself into work it is almost priceless because who can pay you for the hours and days and years. even when you are not working on it your mind is musing over it ugh. When you gave how long it took it really hit home thank you sometimes we get into our own world we can not possibly conceive how anyone can relate. Then that small spark happens when someone does. This was therapy for me to start again.
What an outstanding talent you are. The finished product is both striking and phenomenal, thank you for keeping at it, you gave this piece life!
This is what I call art. Not the shitty ones selling for millions that can be made by a child.
those ones are just use as an excuse to launder money. no one actually spends real money on art
Also not as easy as that. Skill =|= art. It's more abstract than that. Tolstoi had a really good starting point when it comes to the definition of "art". Although I agree, the art world is a joke, its just pretending to be in on a joke that doesnt even exist or as Matthew put it: money laundering.
@@user-rr5lj8nu3n that's a really shitty opinion but ok I guess u have the right
I am an artist and that's common comment by ignorant people who dont understand ART.Sure a child maybe able to copy Mark Rothko but what he did was revolutionary in terms of ART.Same can be said all late Picasso Art when he basically painted like a child but he was still Picasso. There is evolutionary aspect about ART.What this artist did sadly is nothing innovative. There are dozens and dozens of Artists doing super realism and that gets old as well.Copying from a photo is pointless....when the end result is same as photo!!
@@rubo1964 Theres a reason after all that portraits began to fall off once we had the first camera. I think it's important to try and find the middle ground. I get that people think certain art pieces are easy to make or silly and others that think its an ignorant position to hold because of xyc. I think its too easy to just see it in black/white.
The readymade art of Duchamp is a good example. You could argue that its either just lazy and uncreative or you could say that it challenged the way we look at art and made maybe millions of people think about what it really is that makes it "art".
I personally dont have that answered for me quite yet. We can all agree on the fact that those "dentist paintings" that are mostly abstract acryl or oil paintings are definitely not as easy to make as the majority of people say.
I'm very inspired, I almost gave up drawing but I'm now encouraged thank you. Love the piece.
I can't even put into words how incredible your work is. Keep challenging yourself and pushing through those barriers that often crush dreamer's dreams.
imagine he spills water onto this drawing right when finishes
@Ethan Style Videos that kinda got me a little turned on...bug porn.
A masterpiece like this: exists
What people pay thousands for: a duct-taped banana
The mona lisa isn't even that good... only reason it got famous was cuz it was stolen by some dude, and that story made it to the news
@Nersl it wasn't bought, the author of that whatever it is ate it
And then made a new one but I don't remember what he said why did he eat it
This is a beautiful piece but I subbed when i went to your page and saw tutorials. Your willingness to share and help others is also a beautiful thing.
I'm working on a drawing from a picture I took of my dogs eye with the reflection of my other dog in it. I lost them both and while challenging for me emotionally I hope by the end to find it cathartic in helping me make peace with my grief. People don't understand how much of ourselves we truly put into our work, they are literally reflections of our souls. Don't let ANYONE that's incapable of doing what you do tell you how to do it! You will ALWAYS find success in staying true to yourself! This piece and your story behind it has inspired me even more to see it thru, thank you 🙏💚
It literally breaks my heart when an artist go through the pain of not being appreciated for works they put more than 💯 in.
You will do great buddy just be +ve and I love your work.
There are thousands of people who work hard and are unappreciated. Artists are the last people on the list you should have sympathy for. Considering people pay 100 million for a blank canvas or a single color....... What this guy does is real art but he knows what he's getting himself into.
@@Tony-nl6pf usually people don't just get billions of dollars for art, that's just on rare occasions. Art is something people do, it's what they love (most of the time I suppose). Not many people do it as a career though, as it doesn't pay well. Art is something people love, so i don't think any artist would really care if they got payed or not, because they enjoyed creating what they made.
I love seeing artists putting all their time and keeping all their priorities aside, for the art they are working on...
Artists like you are legend, in the era of abstractionism; artists like you are spending like years on a work...
Most of cases, it don’t pay off.. sadly..
But the satisfaction and the inner stream of happiness flowing inside is way too much precious than the financial profit of the painting..
Once the work is done.. hanged.. and you look at it.. reminiscing all the moments and the stories, goods- bads going on that time; when the final magic was in process... you know, how heavenly it feels.
So much motivating and inspiring seeing great artists like you, putting your everything in a single work...
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
