BCG Pymetrics. Davis, thanks for the great info! Could you share more on how the scores of these games are evaluated? I mean, how do they measure things like focus and risk tolerance based on our performance?

The Pymetrics platform uses AI and neuroscience to assess your traits based on how you play the games. For instance, the 'Keypress' game measures your attention and focus by tracking how quickly and accurately you respond to the prompts.
Similarly, your risk tolerance is assessed in the 'Balloons' game by observing your behavior in inflating the balloon - whether you push for more points at the risk of popping it, or you stop early to ensure a safe score. Your decisions and reactions in these games give an insight into your inherent traits. Each game is quantified to give a unique score for the trait it's measuring, creating your overall Pymetrics profile.

1. Are all candidates offered a pymetrics test or does it indicate you passed the initial CV screen and are being more considered for an interview?
2. I read about a Casey/Chatbot interview as well - are these before or during first round interviews?
3. Last question - I will be going out of the country after next week for 3.5 weeks, so if I am offered the opportunity to interview, would I be able to schedule it a few weeks later or would I have to do it overseas?

1. The Pymetrics test is often used as an initial screening tool by BCG to assess candidates' cognitive and behavioral traits. While it doesn't guarantee an interview, a successful performance on the test can increase your chances of moving forward in the selection process.
2. BCG does utilize a chatbot-style interview called the Casey interview. It is typically conducted as a part of the first-round interviews. It is designed to assess your problem-solving abilities through a series of interactive questions.
3. If you are offered the opportunity to interview and you have prior commitments out of the country, it's best to communicate this with the recruiting team as soon as possible. They may be able to work with you to schedule the interview later or explore remote interview options. It's important to keep open communication and discuss the possibilities with the BCG team.

Some of the explanation is unclear. So the Baloon game measure the highest reward you could collect only or would a higher number popped balloons be penalized? the two could be at odds.
I can get a higher score by taking more risk and popping the smaller balloons. Where as I could get a decent score and a lower percentage of popped balloons if "risk taking" would be seen negatively.

I just took the test. My reseults are excellent. And I think my results mirrored what they are looking on all the categories. If I dont get an interview next, im gonna go protest and riot infront of their HQ in Boston 🤣🤣
