Please Mr Finance Minister of Ghana, I know you have not taught it through properly when you came up with the etax system which is now undermining the president of Ghana. Please go back to the drawing board and look at the e-tax again.Mr finance minister, there is no shame in fixing an issue if you know that you have not done it very well from the beginning because we are all human. We all agree that everyone have to pay their fair share of the pie if we want to stop borrowing from other countries but not in a way that the big companies will benefit and the government of Ghana will lose. Wake up Mr Finance Minister and look at the taxes again and again so that you can than come up with a reasonable,fair, taxing system..your credibility is on the line now and the whole world is watching..God Bless ..

      Is it the lack of english or comprehension? They charge fees because their infrastructure is being used and not charges on transactions. What the government is proposing is charges on transactions in addition to the network fees. Why tax Capital before it generates income? The AKYEM SAKAWA BOYS are really lazy.

  • @ghauthentictv708
    @ghauthentictv708 Před 2 lety +1

    Per your example, MTN is doing same. Something me personally I have been complaining about. MTN, honestly speaking are thieves but no one monitors their transaction as to the burden of charges on the ordinary Ghanaian.

    Oh Ghana. Hmmmm

    • @swugjay7189
      @swugjay7189 Před 2 lety

      No .... its transaction fee because you're using their platform. Government then takes 17.5% of that money mtn makes. So why then will the government who has already taken taxes from salaries and these daily transactions, go on to charge the amount itself

    • @ghauthentictv708
      @ghauthentictv708 Před 2 lety

      @@swugjay7189 Yeah I understand you but the more reason why I said MTN are thieves is that, how come if you transfer money from your wallet to another wallet which is not up to 100 cedis, they don't charge anything until you do so to reach the threshold which 100 cedis before they deduct but they can implement the same thing as in the maximum amount to be deducted a day is 10cedis.
      If you wanna send money to someone through vendors, like 5000 cedis or even withdraw, they will do it 1000cedis each in other to get 50cedis charges. MTN knows about this and they are supporting the vendors to steal from us

    • @swugjay7189
      @swugjay7189 Před 2 lety

      @@ghauthentictv708 I understand but that's why mtn prefers you go to the vendor to load your wallet rather than a transfer. So that you can send that 5k at 10 cedis rather than at a vendor for 50 cedis

      @ezekielofori-danso3587 Před 2 lety

      Bank of Ghana gavea directive which was ment to stop over-the-counter transactions i.e sending money to other through vendors. MTN put measures in place to ensure this directive was adhered to because it was going to have a positive impact on their subscriber base. For instance, anyone who wanted to send money using MTN MOMO needs to get MTN SIM and register for the service. Unfortunately, we as customers prefer over-the-counter transactions, that is why the vendors take advantage.

    This joker is just doing politics by opposing everything that the npp introduces. Since when did he start caring so much about the ordinary Ghanaian? The question every Ghanaian should be asking is what is your alternative? At the end of the day government has to collect taxes to keep the country running. I now understand why the ndc is filled with a lot of weak minded people. They have no vision.This boy has the nerve to say the President doesn’t understand. Where was he when Nana started politics?

  • @patosepo9344
    @patosepo9344 Před 2 lety

    This is political disingenous. Why should the same politicians who complain of the government to take loans and at same time oppose it to take tax to build the nation. Everybody agrees that no one can depend primarily on loans with devastating interests to build ones nation. A significant alternatives to loan is to taxes. No advance nation jokes with taxes. So what good does the opposition NDC and their politically oriented demonstrations intend to achieve for Ghana by attacking loans and oppising taxes. Nobody is exempted from new E-Levy tax. So why should NDC behave as if they are the only Ghanaians who would be affected by the tax. How do thyt expect the nation to raise capital for its own development if they oppose to pay tax. Everybody in Ghana wants development but how many pay taxes. We raise money for big funerals and many trivial spendings. It is the responsibility of the government to make policies that can discourage waste and mobilize resources to develop the nation. Many outsiders who visit Ghana admire the people of the type of houses we poses. Many of them are equally good if not better than many elsewhere. Our major problems are lack o goodf roads, water, electricity, hospitals, schools and some essential infrastructures. It is significant for Goverment to mobilize resouces to provide such facilities which are beyond the reach of the individuals.
    It is now time for reasonable and responsible Ghanaians to speak out to tell NDC that enough is enough. They have no credible and better means to solce the problems than their opponents in government. We have already seen them long enough to be conviced by their stories. The message of the religious groups is long over due, but it is better late than never. They need to do more to tell the politicians that they are not more Ghanaians than others. They must be told they cannot expect to come to power just by their disruptive political antics but by genuine and reasonable political engagement. God is the ultimate authority o everyf people in every nation. And where it is available He support the honest and right thinking political organization capable to cater better for His people.
    It is only when there is no a better alternative that bad people succeed to governs all the time. It is time now for believers to become active and support any sensible form of goverrnnen that would help them to develop their God given gifts for their common good. It is always true that when good people remain silent the bad people rule over them. Get up Ghana Bishops and Pastors to be involced. It is your God given responsibility to take care of His flock from hungry devouring wolves. We are all true witness of how the current government is building roads and other infrastructures. We must support this responsibly. We must discourage any opposing move that hinder the progress of the nation. We need political ingenuity and nit political disingenuity.

    So, what at all have you people done for your constituencies? You come on air and speak "savage" English language which you guys do not communicate anything; get the people confused and go back to sleep. Look at you! They speak as if they carry all the wisdom from their tribe. People who do not know neatness; people who keep themselves well in other people's countries and dirty their own homes are those advantaged enough to be called our leaders. If the gods are those who mitigate the appointment of "these people" as leaders, then the gods are crazy! If God indeed looked on for these people to be elected, then God is a "wicked God".
