- Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon) & Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Velaryon) are interviewed for House of the Dragon Season 1, the prequel to Game of Thrones. Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood and set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series tells the story of House Targaryen. Starring Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans. Colin Hart and Scott Davis were on the carpet, seeking answers.
Plot: The show will focus on an infamous event in Westeros history known as the Dance of the Dragons. This is a civil war that took place between siblings Aegon II and Rhaenyra over the throne after the death of their father Viserys I.
House of the Dragon will be available exclusively on Sky & NOW from August 22nd, 2022.

I think these two will be the HOTD equivalent of Nokolaj Coster-Waldau and Gwendoline Christie in GOT.
They have a very good chemistry together and they seem to be the nicest persons on earth… Plus, the character of Rhaenys Targaryen made me think of Olenna Tyrell. She’s as witty and funny.

True Story. I am just watching House of the Dragon and all during the series I was trying to figure out where I'd seen this actress. Couldn't place her. ...but because we often skip the credits I didn't actually see her name until 2nd to last episode....So finally watching the credits I see the name Eve Best and I'm like...she's Princess Rhaenys I bet...So I go to bed that night and in a dream...perhaps prompted by the name...I remembered where I'd seen her and had this whole dream about remembering that she was Dr. O'Hara in Nurse Jackie and meeting her...and of course telling her the whole story about how I finally remembered where I'd seen her...which she had so little interest in she just walked away to talk to somebody else in the middle my speal. Funny here she talks about being surprised when people say they've seen her in something. Literally had this dream last night.
