So I reviewed the brand new 2016 G11/12 BMW 730iL in Malaysia after I drove the 740i and the 750iL in Portugal last year.

At a glance, people might say the current line-up of Merc's interior is/looks better, whilst the BMW's look pretty staid. But once you've spent some time in it, you'll start to notice how normal things are, still. The broad centre console, though designed differently and nice to look upon first glance, is still a normal dash, and the same applies to their switches, and how other dash pieces are put together; there's nothing groundbreaking about it. And this is where the BMW shines, the discerning eye will start to notice the finer details the manufacturer has put into the 'design manufacture' and will fall in love with it even more. They've injected new ways of doing the usual things. Switches are operated by gestures, and dash trim pieces are really a work of manufacturing art. This fresh way of approaching things make the difference. Same applies with the exterior design.

The real reason they have the dummy exhaust is to balance the look. Otherwise it looks odd.

try not to buy the hybrid version then maintenance is manageable apart from the air suspension. change it to adjustable coilovers and you'll be super happy
