I saw Future Islands with Weezer in Bridgeport Ct. two nights ago. I was admittedly clueless as to who they were. Fast forward 48 hours later, and I am showing my wife this video while trying to convince her to drive 300 miles to catch this tour tomorrow night. These guys are performers in every sense of the word.

I love this band, the singing, the music, the dancing. They are just amazing.
Sam touches every nerve in my body with his performances heart and soul the pure emotion just so raw. It makes it and the band which is an excellent that more captivating. So, not only is he a intelligent man, with his penchant for the lyrics and the bands, but quite handsome too.
This Samuel has an incredibly expressive voice and a gesture that speaks for itself.
Someone who gesticulates so emotionally must be completely convinced of his texts!
A great stage presence this man has.

I've been to about 40 concerts in my life and Future Islands are two of them. I'm watching them live again next week!! What a truly beautiful creation of music, lyrics, people and sounds. It elevates me emotionally every time I listen to their music. I have a few that bring me to tears and the feeling is sweet and painful.
This is GOOD music. Sam has got to be one of the best frontmen ever. He really throws himself into every performance. That's dedication. Just incredible.

these guys are great band. I remember hearing Like the Moon and Back in the tall grass back in 2017 and immediately falling in love with their sound.

actually I think it is the same performance of the song, but edited to be added to the beginning of the video. Look how sweaty Sam's shirt is during the first iteration of Light House at the start compared to the next song "For Sure".
i saw this guy open for a weezer concert recently and honestly his performance baffled me. at first i thought he was playing a character but then when he started jumping around the stage i realized that he is just like that. it gave me a good laugh.

Reading all those comments I guess I must be wrong. Manic, bazaar, crazy. I could go on! I just don’t see it. He doesn’t really sing as such and I can’t hardly make out a single word. I’m sure the lyrics are very clever but let us hear them!
I just wish the sound was better. Not sure what they used to record them. Oh well, I'll take what I can get when it comes to this amazing band! I've never seen someone sweat so much in just the first song. XD

_Yes_ I felt very emotional watching and still get that way seeing him perform sometimes. He really just gets into the moment I think and part of it I am taking a gander here is performance art. But I strongly think he identifies with certain songs. But after the song, if you see enough shows you will see him joking two minutes later with the crowd. Just my two cents...only my gut feeling.
