Ahh the old buddy pass. I miss flying for free. My dad worked for American Airlines. We grew up on planes. He passed away in 2008. Besides missing him, I miss cheap airfare - and flying first class. In the old days we had to dress nice and have a jacket and tie for first class. We would always dress for first class in case that was all that was available. What I don't miss is flying stand by and taking less busy flights to avoid getting bumped. Going home from vacation at 8am on a Sunday kinda stinks. All in all it was definitely worth it.
Hello Michael, I'm thinking about becoming an aircraft mechanic. The only thing I'm worried about is the extreme hours. Do you have any suggestions for places to work or how to get regular work hours? Thank you.
Just found this channel, its awesome. I've been thinking about becoming a mechanic for the past 6 months or so (in STL mind you). This channel is really making me feel that it would be a great fit for me.
Hey james!! This is just the channel I was looking for!! Im also an aircraft technician in México and can totally relate with you. Keep your videos going!
I absolutely LOVE your channel! great content, super organised, and really interesting! I wanted to know how one would actually become an aircraft mechanic? The job looks really exciting and fun, i would love to make this my eventual career if possible :)
I attended four year college for it but you can also complete an 18 month trade school or even get certified through online training. If you are in the USA search for "Become an A&P Mechanic" if outside the USA I recommend contacting local government about the certification process.
I love your style of cutting your Videos and the content, but are you a fan of Casey Neistat? Because the Cutting Style is nearly the same ^^ Love your Videos anyway ^^ Greets from Germany
Hey, I was just wondering how did you get started as an airplane mechanic? Did you know much before your got started? I'm more of a car guy but I just graduated high school and am looking into this career. Thank you in advance for your help.Great video by the way, keep it up.
I had a feeling you were from the midwest. :-) Btw, you haven't said whether you went to a typical community college or apprenticeship to become an aircraft mechanic. Which one is it?
Im guessing this question has come up, but I dont know where you covered it, so here goes. Without divulging any personal info, how is the money the first couple of years as an Aircraft Mech in a small shop?
I have my commercial pilot's license, Vince doesn't fly though. I'm trying to get him hooked ;) He also has a four year degree. We went to college together but I graduated a year before him.
James Sullivan Do you really have to go to college and get a 4 year degree?? I’ve seen other channels talk about a two year course... btw I just started getting interested in aircraft mechanics, i feel like this would be an awesome career to work in, if you can please guide me where to start at I would definitely appreciate it
