ka4172 mamba x with a puller pro blows the axe away. Not even close.
Puller pro has slower start up speed and better torque modulation... the axe has a better brake, but mine is set to 50% so that isn’t useful.
The mamba x is compatible with brushed motors along with tons of custom motors, and a multitude of widely available castle motors like the 1406, 1410, and 1415 series.
Did I mention the mamba x can handle 6s lipo? Or that is can power the strongest servos on the market where the axe will choke the servo because it cannot supply the amps needed.
3300kv axe at 11.1v hits 36,600rpm max. 2200kv 6s motor can hit 49,000rpm and deliver more torque than the truck can handle... luckily mamba x has torque limiting.
Lastly, and this is my FAVORITE feature, the mamba x reads a channel of your choosing and can change settings on the fly. Mine uses 50% drag brake with immediate activation and instant reverse in low gear... switch to high gear and the drag brake is now 20% and activates at the slowest setting and reverse is locked out until the vehicle stops allowing full use of the brakes. But I can also set it up to where a channel can adjust my drag brake from 0-100% on the fly.
After countless hours of research I decided against the axe. Really thought I was going with the new tech, but the “older” tech just works well.
Honestly, the axe setup will be much better when custom motors come out for it, and they will because it’s extremely popular.

Nice TRX6, I've always been too scared of the extra maintenance that you need to do after you fully submerge a TRX, but I've gone through some deep mud and water on my TRX6 videos, but keep up the good videos.
Although cleaning is annoying, the RC CAR should be rolled in a fun. Ha ha.
