    I'm going to purchase a 8ft Original Bass Hunter like yours.
    Questions:
    1- How many hours does the battery last..? 2-.How long can you stay out and come back safely with the battery ? 3- Is the other battery a deep cycle and is it used as a backup?
    5- Do you use a trailer?

    • @BassinwithCaptLou
      @BassinwithCaptLou  Před rokem +1

      First off, thank you for watching! Here are the answers to your questions: The 100ah lithium battery I use will last me the entire outing. My outings are usually 5 to 7 hours. The 12volt 24 series battery you saw is my spare, just in case.
      I do not trailer my bass hunter. I carry it in the back of the bed of my truck. I have heard of people trailering these boats, however. Best of luck with your purchase. Come back and let us know how you liked yours. 👍🏼

    Just got one of these brand new, enjoying the hell out of it!! One question, how’d you go about getting your registration numbers to stick or where did you buy them (or did you just paint them on)? With the rough/porous surface the cheap vinyl letters I got from Lowe’s stood no chance. Thanks in advance!!

      That's a great question. This was one the first things the previous owner of this boat discussed with me. The solution was to glue the identification stickers on. Appreciate you for watching the video!

      @@BassinwithCaptLou Thanks for the reply! What kind of glue did you use?

    • @BassinwithCaptLou
      @BassinwithCaptLou  Před 11 měsíci

      You're welcome. As far as what glue to use, I don't know. As I mentioned earlier, the previous owner glued the numbers on. Whatever glue was used, it's still working. I can, however, ask him what glue he used.

    Hey Capt January or February for a Kansas boy to come to Florida after his PB? The guys on my bass club who have fished in Florida argue about this all the time front I've been told January is when you want to go to Florida I've been told February's when you want to go to Florida and I haven't been told March is when you want to go to Florida. LOL 🤣 your best hunter is a sweet little setup I'd much rather have that than a kayak and alligator invest in waters in Florida

      First off, thank you for watching. Second, I'm a little biased on when to come down and fish. ;) If you're coming down to hunt for a PB. You would want to do that during the spawn. Our spawn is unique in the sense that it's a long period. This means it can run from February to in some cases June, here in South Florida. The good news is you have plenty of options! ;) Tight lines my friend!

      @@BassinwithCaptLou ten four boss! That does give a guy some options. Here in South East Kansas a big fish is 5-6 a really big bass is 7 plus . Mine is 7.40 now after 15 years of fishing Kansas waters. So it's probably going to be Florida or Texas for a double digit. Biggest bass I've personally seen in a tournament here was 9.75 a few 8's ! Thanks Capt

    I have the same boat and love it, how long does your battery last because I want to get that type battery for mine

    • @BassinwithCaptLou

      Thank you for watching! Fully charged, the 100ah lithium battery lasts me an entire outing. My outings are 5-7hrs long. I do carry a spare 24 series 12 volt as a backup, just in case.

      I have got to get one because this lead acid battery is killing me carrying it around, I got a pedal control trolling motor and converted it to a transom mount so I can manage the boat in the current or wind and still fish

      Significant weight difference having the lithium battery.

    Being its a pontoon , can it be used without the floor plug? Does it sit above the water line? If waves splash in will it drain out?

    • @BassinwithCaptLou
      @BassinwithCaptLou  Před měsícem

      I wouldn't use the boat without that plug. Thanks for watching!

    I am 57 and im thinking of getting one..I have a 96 Toyota Tacoma short bed pickup..Would the 8ft one like ypurs fit in the back or should i get a trailer?

    • @BassinwithCaptLou
      @BassinwithCaptLou  Před rokem +1

      First off, thank you for watching. To answer your question. I have seen on several occasions 8ft long bass hunters on the back of Tacoma's. Just make sure it's secure tightly.
